Ordered two Black 128GB from AT&T the second it let me in and shipping already says Sep 23, 2016 - Sep 30, 2016. I bailed on Apple.com order because I couldn't order two phones at the same time. Here's hoping for an earlier ship date not later as is the usual treatment when ordering from AT&T. Last time I ordered from AT&T the second it became available, I got shipment almost a month later.

Apple's Online Store Down Ahead of iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Series 2 Pre-Orders

I just signed up for it, got reservation numbers and didn't receive any info aside from the reservation codes. Could be launch day could be January.... Ugh
The geniuses at AT&T are "performing scheduled maintenance from 2:00 AM to 3:00 AM CT to improve online experience"! What a load of crap.
I mean this is expected. its a new color, new product, they dont know the demand for it (honestly they dont, who thought people would choose jet black over matte black?) and the process to get the black is probably why its delayed. We all know how the black on the Iphone 5 went. Space grey exists because at that time, they couldnt get the black to be reliable. After showing off the process of how they get the black on aluminum which is a big feat, I expected the phones to be delayed but not this fast. It shows you how many people want black iPhones again. I personally have been waiting a long time and the murdered out matte black is the perfect iphone for me.
Talk about boning your customers. I'm still hanging onto my verizon 2 year contracts and I'd be pissed if I were on the upgrade program and they didn't have it available to be ordered
No. The iPhone 7 Plus - 256GB - Jet Black was Never available at any store in any state for the iPhone Upgrade Program. I searched them all starting as soon as the Apple Store was open on the app.
It shows no reservation in my apple account right now... Let's hope this thing updates after the adjust for the cluster.

At 4 minutes past with Verizon and a member of the upgrade program, jet black was unavailable... so that's another data point on the side of no-jet-black-for-upgraders. Fortunately, I wanted the regular black...

Irony is that in 2 weeks, apple will be getting a slew of returns of Jet Black iPhones because of the scratches or fingerprints

I also went with Verizon and the regular black. It said September 23rd for the delivery date (same phone as you). It took me a while to figure out the right combination of browser clicks. I finally just went to Verizon's home page, clicked "Order iPhone 7" and went through the upgrade process there vs. from the "My Devices" which never seemed to work.
I got a 128 reserved from it, but I'm new to the program. It looks like everyone that signed up last year got the short end this year
I ordered the silver stainless steel series 2 with the white sport band, by 20 after. My date is September 30. I'm hoping that Apple is using very conservative dates and we'll all have a new toy next Friday.
I still think they should have known. The spent 90 seconds explaining how the Jet Black was made in the first video we ever saw of the phone. That alone is telling to where they think most of the orders are gonna go.
