Finally got into the Apple Store app at 5:12pm (Sydney, Australia) after trying on both that and the browser since 5pm and there were no Jet Black 256GB plus iPhones available. "Ships: 2-3 weeks" Ordered one anyway. No store pickup available. Could not use Apple Pay on my phone.
Disappointed!
 
The iPhone 7 Plus - 256GB - Jet Black was Never available at any store in any state for the iPhone Upgrade Program. I searched them all starting as soon as the Apple Store was open on the app.
 
Black slipped to 10 days while trying to sign up for the damn iPhone Upgrade Program. Apple couldn't connect to Att account, so now it says locked out for an hour :mad::mad::mad:
 
Ordered on app around 3:02 AM EST, got confirmation at 3:03 AM EST, iPhone 7+ Black 128GB on T-Mobile, delivery Sept 16. No availability for pickup in all of NYC.
 
Same with me. Said it "couldn't contact my carrier right now" and gave me a reservation number and said it sent me an email... but no email. Luckily I took a screenshot of the reservation number!
Same here, I'm with sprint and so it does say we will get an email when it's ready to process I guess it is what it is..... Now I did try to instantly go back and it said there was an error with my phone number and passcode, so perhaps it DID reserve me one. Time will tell I guess.

yep...those on the upgrade program got screwed big time! Phill Schiller is full of crap!
 
Wow... The 7 Plus* blacks went fast, all the other colors are still 9/16
You'd think Apple assumed this would happen and would have made more of this version in the initial manufacturing process.
 
I actually thought this was one of the smoothest orders in along time. Store opened up almost immediately for me. and even tho I couldn't use apple pay and had to enter all my info twice (one for me and one for my wife) I got both 256's the black in 256 still shows on my side 6-8 day ship but the other capacity is 2-3 weeks.
 
At 2:02 CST in appstore, the store closest to my house was showing not to even have reservation times available. The other store in my town had no 256 Jet black Plus available. I guess I will just be winging it again this year.

Well I feel a little better then I suppose. So much for the awesome upgrade program.
 
So they either didn't have enough of the jet black produced (which would be dumb since the new color is always the hot seller) or their last-ditch effort to deter people from buying that finish by saying it'll scratch, it'll fingerprint -- didn't work.

Or both...
 
Took so long to get through the ordering process that the delivery date slipped to October 8. Figured they'll just be sitting in a store somewhere by then and gave up on the preorder. Maybe improve this process one of these years, Apple.
 
Lesson for future launches - don't bother with apple.com. Was so much easier with Vodafone.

Really don't understand how carriers still have stock when Apple is quoting 6 weeks.
