Will the iPods still have headphone jack sockets when the store returns!? Who can say on this week's exciting Apple Roulette!
I do like the black options for the iPhone and I think the dual cameras are interesting. And the watch continues to be a nice product I can't justify because I think it still has a lot of room for improvement.
Still underwhelmed overall, but these are still mostly better products (except for the iPhone headphone jack insanity) than their predecessors. So good luck to everyone keen to order.

The headphone jack thing doesn't really bother me so much. I have one pair of headphones that is not bluetooth (some nice Bose), so I'll just keep that damn dongle thing on them, plugged in or not. Not really an inconvenience. All you who are irked, do you use a lot of different headphones or something?
I doubt it will backfire. They did this with the parallel port, the floppy drive, the cd drive, dvi ports, flash... I particularly thought that last one would hurt them. Presumably they know what they are doing again.

And the $50 dock? Would that also change to the Lightning port or remain the 3.5mm jack. So basically you will have a new lightning set of earphones but the dock will have the old Jack. The answer is - "free adapter in the box". Apple thinks about everything .
Ya boycott it so you increase the chance everyone else can order it.
The plus camera is why I am buying it. Do you -really- think a boycott would work ? LOL
I like your alarm sequence you have. I might copy you. And I agree with the Jet Black, not my color and I don't need the 128/256GB. Matte Black it is.

Honestly, I think it's pretty simple. If you know majority of the time you'll be using a case, then go Jet Black. If you're someone who avoids cases, and you know most of the time it'll be caseless, then choose (matte) Black.
I'm trying to prepare for the frenzy pre-order tonight and want to get in and get out, but unfortunately the Apple Store App is down, and I need to update my payment information.

I would think so.
it will be 4Am for me, I usually get up at 5Am so... getting up isn't the big decision... Do I really need to upgrade today or can I wait till next year. In my house we pass around the device. Currently I have a 6 plus which goes to the wife if I upgrade, then next year I get the latest, wife gets 7 plus kid gets 6 plus... But I'm not yet convinced I really need to jump this year. Maybe a nice dram and some reflection will clear this up....
Still haven't decided if I'm going to pre order to not. I've had the 6 and 6s and don't really see the point in getting the 7, but I'd love the 7 Plus. I just don't know if it'll be too big. Anyone else make the jump from the 6 to the 6s Plus and like it?
I went from a 6 Plus to a 6s last time. It took a couple of weeks to get use to the smaller size and then it felt normal. 4.7 is a good size, but I have also missed the larger screen, so going up again this time to a 7 Plus. It will probably take me a couple of weeks to get use to the larger screen again, but I know what I'm in for & can't wait.
I'm not buying, either. First time in ages my husband and I are sitting out a preorder. But I love the excitement and am here to support my friends.
Nothing's wrong. It's a solid upgrade with a new processor, better battery life, officially water resistant now, better cameras, upgraded display in terms of being true tone color now. I'm not preordering for the first time in years and I'm not thrilled about the headphone jack being gone, but there's a new speaker in its place for people who don't care about the headphone jack being missing.
Lots of people aren't happy about the headphone jack being gone and the phone chassis looking essentially the same and the display resolutions being unchanged and still using LCD instead of AMOLED. But don't you mind any of that. You sound like you're ready for this. This is your night. Have fun and good luck. I hope you get the model and color you want.
Just bizarre. The whole headphone jack issue is just such a non-event. I have read a lot of negativity about it, but not one explanation as to why 99.99% of users will have a problem.
Nothing special, just incremental changes.
What's wrong...
No headphone jack
No wireless charging
No high resolution screen
No sale, not interested.
My main problem with it is this, I have some very nice Audio Technica headphones that I got a couple of years ago. They are great. Of course I can use the dongle. My main problem is being able to charge and listen at the same time. I do this very frequently. I lie in bed many nights when I can't sleep and listen. It's nice to not have to worry about battery life after a long day of using my phone. I can just plug in to charge and listen. That being said, it's not going to stop me from purchasing the 7.
I think a lot of the issue with the removal is they are really limiting third party companies. Think about the Square company who uses the headphone jack for their device. Now they have to develop a new device, unless they want to use the dongle. Also, you have companies that use the headphone jack as sort of an Aux In, like guitar accessories.
Update your Apple Pay payment and use that. Purchase with the iPhone app. The app usually responds better than the web anyway.
