I went from a 6 Plus to a 6s last time. It took a couple of weeks to get use to the smaller size and then it felt normal. 4.7 is a good size, but I have also missed the larger screen, so going up again this time to a 7 Plus. It will probably take me a couple of weeks to get use to the larger screen again, but I know what I'm in for & can't wait.
Damn

First world problems.

I love the large screen but it's really not fun to use one handed.

Plus it always is too big for my jeans

Hmm - just played with my wife's iPhone 6S .

It's very manageable but it's tiny !

Could someone please explain how pre-ordering an iPhone works in terms of carrier choice and contracts. I want to purchase an unlocked iPhone that I then can use on my current contract with Rogers in Canada. Is this even possible if pre-ordering? What do people actually commit to when pre-ordering? I'm in Canada. Thanks for clarifications!

There is an unlocked option. Just make sure you get the version that uses your cellular signal. GSM or CDMA.

Do I want to keep Rose Gold, or move on to one of the blacks?

Better question: how much should I worry about the micro scratches with the glossy black?
I use a super thin case on the outside of the phone only… That will prevent the micro scratches and still let you see your glossy finish through the clear case. Micro scratches are only noticeable if you hold them at a certain angle in the sunlight. For all day every day use in fluorescent office or home bulb lighting you'll never be able to see them. Most people believe their front screens without a protector are scratch free too but they're not. If they go without any protection on the front screen they have thousands of micro scratches that you just can't see unless you're at the right angle in sunlight. People swear to me they have no scratches and I can show them 100% of the time they challenge me. ;)

Go for Jet Black - totally the coolest phone this year.. :)

Thanks, I will. I'm a nite owl, too. But I have to get up early again now that school is back in session. I'll let you know.

The SE suits me but I already almost filled up the 64 GB's. And I am always around water so I wish it were water resistant. Since I am definitely committed to the Note7 as my phablet, it would make sense for me to trade my 6S Plus in for the smaller IPhone 7. I'd miss that dual camera somewhat, but I don't know what I'd do with two phablets. I'm already in that situation. My husband will probably trade his IPhone 6SPlus or his even older IPhone 6Plus for the iPhone 7 eventually. If he does, I can borrow the dual cameras sometimes.

I definitely think I would appreciate the water resistance aspect with IP67X. I think the iPhone 7 has a lot to offer and this new dual camera may be a huge leap for Apple, if it truly portrays high quality photo's. I enjoyed the Keynote, but the real test will be in the customers hands. I can only imagine what the 'Shot on iPhone' pictures will depict. Excited to see its true capabilities once others have put it to the test.

I've set 3 alarms just in case.

2:30
2:40

I should be ok.

Was really going for the a jet Black but after watching videos and seeing it looks like a 5c, so plastic like, I'm going with the matte.

I thought I was the only one that thought it look like the disaster 5c(heap)

I would think you can reserve the phone but to sign up you have to be in-store as they need ID and the credit card on hand. I believe that's where you take a chance. If you sign up on launch day and get approved, great, but if you get declined you may have missed your chance at having the phone on launch day.
Do you know if you have to go to the store on launch day, or if I could go in the Saturday after?

Hmm I wonder if I'll be able to make this happen tonight/this morning. 3am is pretty early.

Found out that Auxiliary carriers such as Boost and others aren't supported just yet. Only ATT, Verison, Sprint and one more I believe.

These versions are only sim-card holders; no sim-less versions for early sales though they will have CMDA and GSM of course.

Please everybody, hate and don't buy the iPhone 7/7 Plus. It is a terrible device, you have to boycott Apple for the missing headphone jack!

We need to stay together! Nobody should be ordering an iPhone 7/7 Plus!

so that I can order mine and get it delivered on release day!

I agree ..... don't get it...
I will take one for the team :)

The problem is...if you wait Til after breakfast you'll be looking at 3+ weeks out for delivery. Assuming this goes the same as it has the last 5 years.
6s wasn't like that.. i ordered one the day of pre-order (afternoon) and still got it when all the midnight marauders received theirs.

Can anyone tell me how att next works on their site? I only have ever used upgrades but att took that away from us. Can I do it on the apple app/site?

yes you can, you can use the Apple Store app(it usually comes online first) basically enter your phone number and what not. pretty easy stuff

Honestly, I think it's pretty simple. If you know majority of the time you'll be using a case, then go Jet Black. If you're someone who avoids cases, and you know most of the time it'll be caseless, then choose (matte) Black.
I avoid cases so I can see the beauty of the phone. And the jet black is the first good looking iPhone in three years. So I say if your going to put it in a case, get some color that nobody wants so you don't sell out the good colors for the rest of us. If your not going to use a case, get the jet black and just be careful with it.
