Apple's Online Store Down Ahead of iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Series 2 Pre-Orders

Putting the dual core in the Series 1 makes it pretty clear my original Watch is going to get obsoleted pretty fast, and I do love my watch, but I'm just not getting the gotta have it vibe.

Of course that was true with this watch too, until 10 minutes before pre-orders when I made an impulse buy...

I feel EXACTLY the same way. When I saw the ceramic, I thought "Why doesn't it come in black? Black would look amazing. It will soon. Ahhh, I won't pay that much, anyway". (If you could upgrade the guts, I would)

I always have my phone, so I really wouldn't use the gps on the watch. I don't swim, so, my current Apple Watch is water resistant enough. Brighter screen...that would be cool, but, not really that big of a deal. Faster...that's kind of a big deal. But, is it that much faster? Do I want to spend $400 for faster? Not sure. I'm going to hold off for a few weeks I think, and see what others say about the new compared to the old.

Could someone please explain how pre-ordering an iPhone works in terms of carrier choice and contracts. I want to purchase an unlocked iPhone that I then can use on my current contract with Rogers in Canada. Is this even possible if pre-ordering? What do people actually commit to when pre-ordering? I'm in Canada. Thanks for clarifications!

I'm trying to find out as well but I think last year they held off on selling SIM-free iPhones for a few weeks.

Pretty sure they just offer unlocked ones as Rogers and Bell etc don't have their new plans up yet.
 
Good luck to all who get to pre order in a few hours. I have to wait because my wife went to bed early and didn't want to talk about anything else...
 
Im very curious how well this device will sell. The headphone jack thing is a pretty big deal, even for the mainstream audience. But the Note 7 recall might boost sales. And maybe people wont care that there is no headphone jack. But on the other hand, it is a very unexciting device, aside from those sexy black versions.

There you are! Good luck my friend! Matte black is a nice choice. My Note 7 and now my temporary S7 get covered with smudges and look crappy without a clear case.

I'm a mom so I wake up if a mouse burps. One alarm would be all it would take for me.

Alas, I'll be sitting this one out. I feel really strange. I feel like a bird fighting the instinct to fly south for the winter. Lol! But I'm going to take in all the reviews and commentary from owners like yourself. And see it in person before buying one. I did that with the SE and have been very happy with my choice.

I know I'm trading in my 6SPlus for something, I just don't know what, yet. I'm still evaluating android options since I'm keeping my SE to stay with iOS. But the iPhone 7 will definitely be considered, as well. Maybe even the 7Plus but that's a slim chance.

I love how every year people always say they're not buying because it's not enough of an upgrade.

Then Apple sells record numbers.

You know why? It's not because iPhone buyers are stupid. It's not because they're rabid fanboys who will buy anything Apple no matter what.

It's because your opinion doesn't count. You complainers (thank God) are not at all representative of the general population. You just make a lot of noise that nobody at Apple bothers to listen to. Because their Apple and Beats headphones have a new kind of noise cancellation - it's called "Active Piss & Vinegar Cancellation".

Well as a Note 7 owner and temporary owner of a Galaxy S7, I can tell you if you want the option of carrying your iPhone without a case, or even in a clear case, fingerprints will be your enemy. I had to meticulously wipe my phones with a flannel cloth and hold it carefully to get it in the case. Matte black blends in well with leather and TPU cases. Both are gorgeous but the Jet Black will require just a bit more attention keeping it looking its best.

Pure clear cases tend to add a dulling look to the finish. Even with the blue of the Note 7, I found that a smoke grey clear case showed off the finish better. Some clear cases have a yellow tinge even fresh out of the box.

Keep an eye out the discount coupon code site Slickdeals.net for discounts codes. You don't need to be a member. I got loads of name brand cases for $2-$4 apiece for my SE and my Note7 from them.

Hoping they will let me enroll in the upgrade program. I see a lot of people had issues with it last year :eek:
 
The next iPhone won't have any ports left AT ALL

I'm sure you will find something you like. I actually own the SE now and it's a great iPhone, but slightly small for my needs. I'm still debating on the 4.7 or 5.5, my preorder is 2:00 AM Central time. I'm an all nighter anyways, so I should survive.....with coffee and more coffee....and more coffee.

Whatever you decide to purchase, let me know. I hope it works out for you with the Note 7.

Thanks, I will. I'm a nite owl, too. But I have to get up early again now that school is back in session. I'll let you know.

The SE suits me but I already almost filled up the 64 GB's. And I am always around water so I wish it were water resistant. Since I am definitely committed to the Note7 as my phablet, it would make sense for me to trade my 6S Plus in for the smaller IPhone 7. I'd miss that dual camera somewhat, but I don't know what I'd do with two phablets. I'm already in that situation. My husband will probably trade his IPhone 6SPlus or his even older IPhone 6Plus for the iPhone 7 eventually. If he does, I can borrow the dual cameras sometimes.

I would think you can reserve the phone but to sign up you have to be in-store as they need ID and the credit card on hand. I believe that's where you take a chance. If you sign up on launch day and get approved, great, but if you get declined you may have missed your chance at having the phone on launch day.

Sort of. Apple has it's own program. Meaning you will have a separate bill from Apple.

If you go through AT&T's website, you can have the payments just be charged to your normal phone bill.
