Does anyone know if you can just leave the app open and it will load the store automatically when it comes online?

Or do I have to close the app out and keep retrying it? There is no refresh button.

You can move the little Apple logo around on the screen but that doesn’t seem to do anything.

LOL, you had me for a second until I looked at the price. Way too low for a 256GB.

I also checked with my buddy in Germany and the Apple Store is down as well.

Why do I continuous click on the Apple store like I think its going to say something different than being down? lol

Yeah nice try, but no. Thanks to the magic of VPN's and German IP's, I just cruised over to the Apple.com/de, and this is what I get when you click on the iPhone X

Who said there was only 2 to 3 iPhone X's available at launch day? How does that person know that specific number?

He didn't purchase it from Apple, but rather through Telekom.
Deutsche Telekom (or Telekom DE - which also owns T-Mobile) does let you pre-order it now, with a supposed delivery "from 11/3" and the price is, in fact, exactly 699,95 € with a contract extension.

It's unclear if Telekom will actually deliver that day. The translation literally is "Presale from 11/3 on"... but there you go.

Apple.DE is not taking order just like any other Apple store.

Is the concept of time zones a new phenomenon? Why does Macrumors think people are so stupid that they don’t understand that 12:01 Pacific time translates into different times in other parts of the world?

There are people who are legitimately baffled by the concept of 12:01. As in, they assume it's at 12:01 local time for them, not just for Cupertino.

So, MR usually clarifies. Not because people don't get time zones. More because they need to know we are ALL on Cupertino time to preorder.

So what happens when the pre order stock is sold out and there is no more stock that will deliver on launch day? Does the ordering process still continue just with a later delivery date or what?

You condone higher price?

If we are talking about Apple’s profit margin then yes a higher price would be a positive development. I’m not sure how much higher they can push it, but I think if the X can sell in record numbers even at $1000+ one can make an argument it’s underpriced.

I guess we’ll see how fast it sells out.
