So. Did anyone receive a confirmation email? And if you check under orders in your account on apple. Com. Does it appear? Mine doesn’t.

If you bought it via your phone app it will show up in the app orders section. There can be a delay on the website.

Placed two separate orders through the app, one iPhone XS Max space gray, one Watch S4 GPS+LTE space gray aluminum, both deliver next Friday.

Note I had the app open on both an iPhone X and an iPad Pro, both on the same WiFi network, and the iPad came up but the phone did not. What the heck.

Moral: Keep trying! Try different devices! Try the web! Try the app!

Almost immediately when I submitted the order I got an email alert and YES the order shows up online when I check. Sounds like your order didn't go through! I hope that isn't the case.

I’ll be pissed if my phone order didn’t go through because it offered store pickup and ..

EDIT: JUST NOW got my iphone order confirmation via email. Whew, that was close.

Guys, remember the days when iPhones were cheaper and sold out waaaaay faster? Seems like eons ago, but it was maybe only a few. After Apple killed off the heaphone jhack, Home button and now SE, I'm done with buying the latest and "greatest" from them.

Me too I am done with them... Yep I done spend $1560. LOL I think that many People aren't upgrading like they use too. These phones will last awhile. I am currently running a 4 year old phone and this is my first new phone since then. I doubt if I am the only one that has stopped doing the annual upgrade thing.

21st for me and $3093.xx GONE! Damn this company is genius.

LOL, isn't that the truth. About $2200 out the window for me, and I'm not done. My MacBook Pro is ancient so I'm going to be replacing it soon.

OMG, I thought it was the 2012 but I just looked and it is the early 2011 model! The old girl is still chugging along. Not too shabby.

Does anyone know if the shipping address can be changed after placing an order? I'd rather have it delivered to work, but the App store wouldn't let me change the shipping address, referring me to AT&T if I want to change the address.

Slightly different when your ordering has to work with 3rd party carriers and the insane volume on a few pages. I’m not saying I know, but this is not the same as some random product on Amazon.
No, it is not different. You may not know, but I actually do know. I work in this field. A single product isn't any different than a million products. Either way, you've got tremendous traffic that you need to account for. Simple. Allocate more bandwidth. That's just how things are done today.

This is done for hype, nothing more, nothing less.

LOL, I got a bit of a scare, my total price was around $20,000!!!! I had forgot that a few months ago I was just playing around and figured out what it would cost to buy everything I would want regardless of price. It was a lot.... Quickly deleting items from my cart... please dont let the shipping date slip..... Success, got the Nike 44mm, although the best shipping date for that is the 5th but o-well. I want that reflective band and will just have to live with a first series for a few weeks. Cant workout with a broken knee anyway.

That's one reason why Apple and Samsung have to raise prices on phones. People simply aren't buying as often, but they will pay more for a bigger screen.

I agree as I was sitting here thinking about family and friends most of them have older phones these days and none of them are interested in upgrading even now. Even my son is running an iPhone 6s Plus. So he hasn't upgraded in a while either, but he can buy his own phones now! LOL

Zero interest 24-30 month plans makes it very affordable for people that don't have $1200+ to plop down on an iPhone. It's crazy these XS and Max phones are $60/mo though, but I guess that's about one nice dinner out per month one would have to give up. Seems reasonable.

Exactly! That’s what I keep saying Lol. $60/month isn’t bad at all. People blow money on so many unnecessary things. Just gotta cut that back a bit.

Do you wear your current watch on your rides now? Granted, you aren't tracking via GPS, but do you track the workout for time?
I used to use watch for bike rides but not just use my old Garmin Edge 800
[doublepost=1536912928][/doublepost]
I am dying to know what shape your legs are in lol DAMN! that is a lot of riding. I ride 6.2 miles (3.1 miles in the morning and 3.1 in the evening), 5 times a week and I am exhausted by the end of the week.
Haha - didn’t say I was fast ... as a “senior” (PC for old as ****) I go slow but still try to get in 25-30 miles on routine rides with occasional 40-50 mile rides. My moniker is 128KMac because that was my first Mac, back in 1984

So why do they do it? Don’t say build hype.

Remember, their site has to work with carriers too.

I personally don’t know, but I don’t think you do either.
I don’t know why specifically. However, I do know they don’t need to. So there is some purpose being served here. If it’s a technical reason, they could have solved it a long time ago.

Welcome to life.

My life isn't less exciting each year, quite the opposite really. Just phone and laptop tech has gotten boring.

Sounds like you might need a new travel adventure or extreme sport or career change or... a LOT of ways to keep your life spicy. I can't fix phone excitement though.

Suit yourself man. The first iPhone was $500/$600.

iPhone is wayyy more capable now and is a prettt incredible piece of engineering inside and out. Easily justifiable for me and the fact that resale values of old phones is high makes it easy to upgrade annually.

Does amazon go down each time they add a new product?
Keep up...we've been over why this is different than some random product on Amazon a few thousand people are looking at.

Eh, I don't really think you know. You I doubt you work for a company nearly the size of Apple. As usual, things aren't so simple when you don't have all the facts.

people don't change their decision because store was down for a couple of hours. specially when they are shelling out so much money.

in the IT world, no. if you need something, you'll order it by any means. likely some people ordered from Amazon or Best Buy instead.

ask Amazon how much money they lost when they had an outage.

Are you guys sure Apple has the resources to do that? I mean, what's their exposure to technology? Do they have the funding to pay for that infrastructure? Do they have strong IT people with technical backgrounds? They're still pretty new to the whole web storefront thing right? Maybe they only have T1s into their data centres?

Surely Apple wouldn't do this just for hype. Surely.
