Apple's online storefront has been taken offline this morning, just over six hours prior to the company's "Hello Again" media event at its Cupertino, California headquarters, where Tim Cook and other senior executives are expected to announce an all-new MacBook Pro, refreshed MacBook Air, an Apple TV guide, and possibly other new Macs and additional product and service updates.

Apple will provide a live stream (spoiler free) of the keynote on the Apple TV and on iOS and Mac devices through its website, starting at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. MacRumors will also have full coverage of the event, with a live blog on our front page at MacRumors.com and updates in 140 characters or less through our @MacRumorsLive account on Twitter. Earlier this week, we outlined what to expect at the event.

We'll also have specific coverage of today's announcements in separate news stories, and our community forums are a great place for readers to discuss the announcements before, during, and after the event. Be sure to keep tabs on the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air sections in particular for the latest discussions.

So, they are fed up with accidental leaks from re-configuring the store after they leaked the touch bar with the latest Sierra and simply took the store down. Seems like a wise thing.

I found it interesting that the airpods are still showing "late October" given the stories circulating of a delay.

Seems like something Apple would have fixed with this "issue".

Maybe the delay is a false story circulating.

It is very strange. Perhaps there's no issue and they think they simply haven't made enough and don't want to release them. Hopefully overnight (I live in the U.K.) Tim has changed his mind and they'll go ahead and release them (even if they're hard to get).

After yesterday.... it really needs to be something special.

Some of that "amazing product in the pipeline" seriously needs to get out!
Prepare to be disappointed.

They will announce two, MAYBE three things, spend an hour on "filler" speeches no one wants to hear, then leave the rest of the product line to rot.

Apple's too entrenched in their traditions to so much as raise an eyebrow anymore...

(Full disclaimer: I really hope I'm wrong.)

Nice,

I usually head into the office on Thursdays, but with the media event, I suddenly had an issue at home that required me to stay here :D

Now I can watch and not look over my back

Also had to reschedule my day a bit to watch the :apple: event, hopefully it will be worth my time.. ;) o_O

One of the last online stores on earth that needs to go completely down just to update a few products...

It's their thing.

Feel the same and I really hope you're wrong too.

I hate those filler but they serve a purpose. I go on a run at lunch hour, so by the time I shower and eat its after 1:00pm EST, so I never miss any of the good things :D
