I just wonder if $100 price difference between the two 7 phones is going to stand considering you get size, camera and RAM increase. And if Apple wants to spread the price difference, can they start Plus at $799?

Given what they did this year with the iPad Pro line.. with difference in size and RAM increase I'll wager it will be a $150 price increase.

Thank-god for those Apple Stores available world-wide.

UK store has been down all day, too. I'm sure they all are.

Timezones are probably part of the reason they take the store down for so long: gives a clear cutoff date for when you can order an old model.

I hope there is still a reason for excitement about Apple rumors. i don't need a live stream to learn about a phone that is basically very very similar with only minor tweaks to the one I am using. Here is hoping that the new phone justifies all the suspense and the existence of rumor websites!

Who thinks they'll be playing "Hit the Road, Jack" when Tim walks out? ;-)

Should be Jack-ass, but for TC, not the MIA headphone jack. Jack-ass lyrics describe post-Apple so well IMHO.

Press it with a different finger?

Pick it up as it has raise wake?

Press the side button as it rests on the desk?

Those are the 3 best ways in iOS 10

*if supported by device, particularly raise to wake.

SE: $399
6S: $499 6SE Plus $599
7: $599 7Plus $749 (because you get dual camera)
Care to quite the full price of them? Not just the part mayment Apple allows people to pay upfront (with the rest being paid over 24 months inatition to your phone bill.

Probably marketing trick as it can all be done dynamically - Yes for something like this you might want to take the page down for a few moments to swap everything but it doesn't take hours.

It probably helps stop people also buying something and then within moments asking for a refund

It's probably for marketing and to stop people buying stuff when they're about to make announcements. I imagine they have a virtual version of the website where they make all the changes and then simply 'publish' the site and make it live, which can probably be done in a matter of seconds. No real reason to take the site down apart from maybe those I mentioned before.

I think that speaks to the overall lack of interest in Apple watches and what little function they provide - never mind how ugly they look - I see so few in the wild.

As an AW owner I'm interested in what they announce tonight purely to see if they've worked out what the AW is even for yet and how they've refined it.

I don't like the rounded edges at all. An iPhone 7 in with the iphone 5 case design would be great. First screen I ever broke was from dropping the rounded football like iPhone 6.
I have the iPhone 6 leather case on mine, it's thin and barely unnoticeable and I have dropped my phone a few times, never broke. Still working like a charm...now, what bothers me about the 6s is that the screens seems so prone to scratching. I have not treated this iPhone any differently then the 6 or 5 and when I traded in those phones, the screen looked almost new. After two weeks with the 6s, I had 2 gouges in the screen and a long hairline scratch down it. needless to say, really disappointed at the screen. As I will not be purchasing the 7, I will be getting my screen repaired at the apple store for $150.

I keep wondering if this is just a marketing trick or is the store technically really that bad that it can't add/update products within seconds? Just imagine Amazon would go down for hours each time they add a new product. Why would they voluntary loose half a day of business?

I actually think it has much more to do with all of the new marketing materials that coincide with the release of new products and the extensive QA/testing effort that must take place against the live version of the site before its unveiled to the public.

One mishap and Apple wouldn't hear the end of it.

I have become so hopeless about Apple's computers that I just stopped tracking their events.

But I think Apple might be adding the 3D camera I asked for.

Or it might be a camera for 3D TVs, as Apple and 3D displays would be a revolution in their thinking.

I think you are right. But I feel like leaving the 7 at $649 is going to be tough, not just at launch but as a price that will last for a year. Also $799 is going to be tough price to swallow when Android phones are going to be $399 for a similar size. Yes, the Galaxy Note 7 costs $849, and if Apple is going to 20 million units sold over the next six months that is fine.

I've seen so many really beautiful mock ups from other people already, that everytime I see the 'real' iPhone 7 it's like a slap in the face

Amazon sells products from a huge variety of companies/producers. Apple may have a few, but generally sells their own products. So a few hours to build suspense isn't a big deal to them.

Yes, true. Although the antenna lines are still evident in this gold iPhone, the rest of the unit is clean and quite well executed. Not long now to see what exactly will be presented today!

I think your anecdotal evidence is reason enough not believe your glib post. Just because you see 'So Few' Apple Watches in Canada or in your parts, doesn't mean their not in the 'Wild.' Where I reside, I see many of them, being I live in a heavily populated area.

And MY Apple Watch serves me well for its purposes and the stainless version looks nice.

It's evident your just hating on the product, rather than supporting your degrading comment by labeling 'Ugly' and 'Little function.' Oh well, no sense talking to a wall.

I'm afraid to expect...

I've seen one in real life the day before yesterday. First time I've ever seen someone wearing one :)

I must say the possibility of AMD APUs in Macbooks has made me interested in Apple computers again, at least from a theoretical point of view. But not including a Thunderbolt chip would be inexcusable.

Why does the link to the official Apple live stream have the words (spoiler-free) after it???
Is MR assuring us that Apple's live stream link won't have info/photos of the items they've desperately tried to keep secret, prior to their announcement? Are they comforting us in the knowledge that while watching it LIVE, we won't be told about the stuff before we're told about the stuff?? I just can't fathom any reason whatsoever why a live stream would be labeled "spoiler free".
Either that phrase doesn't have the meaning I thought, or the meaning they think.

...and Mac not even on the bill...

Any chance they include Macs here to give a hint at what's coming down the pipeline in anticipation of the 4th quarter results, and 1st quarter guidance?
