second generation Apple Hi-Fi

Don't know why you are being voted down. Might be because you forgot the "/sarcasm"...

Apparently everyone's getting voted down. :(

Edit: Including me! :D

If Apple does 50% of its sales online, every hour the store is down is costing the company $6.6 million based on last qtr sales

Not exactly, most people who are ready and funded to buy an Apple product are simply going to wait for it to come back up or drive to a retail store.

iPhone 5 came up for pre-order and I pre-ordered all 2 million of the initial allotment for the US. Sorry guys.

Shoot! :D

Apple must have been sued for a patent infringment on a method of offering goods for sale by using a computer connected to an electronic communcations medium.

Still can't get it to open for me but, for some reason, I can still check my order on my phone (just need the exact link) though and that's all I really care about. iMac is still processing :(

You should have seen the product page. It has the most gee bees I have ever seen!

the iPhone app store and the iPhone Apple Store app lets me buy things and put things in the cart to check out.

In the Safari website I was able to add product to the cart

apple store is down and you get voted down, you get it now?:D

I'm still not able to access the online Apple Store. I first noticed it down at 0445 hours (Pacific Time) and it is currently 0845 hours. I don't recall it ever being down for me this long.

I'm located in Southern California.

I'm guessing this geographically specific outage is the result of some sort of botched infrastructure upgrade.

I doubt if adding new products would cause something like this to happen; they could simply put up the "be right back" sticky note graphic if that were the case.

I'm thinking more on the lines of moving some services/sites to their new data center in North Carolina or something else similar.

Down in GA

I'm trying to be patient for the MacPro refresh. I'm anxiously hoping Apple intends to keep producing "professional" products. — I am being somewhat facetious.

US and UK stores up bith from mac and iPhone.
There appears to be a new- well i have not noticed it before - express delivery option on the UK store site. So not sure if this was not some general maintenance that has overrun its scheduled downtime.
