Looks like a Beats knock-off... The other half not working out? Seriously, you don't buy Beats, then do something yourself anyway. Where's the fun in that?

One thing the AirPods Pro will have is a very flat frequency response. They want to seriously compete against the likes of AKG, Sennheiser and Sony on the over-ear wireless headphone market.

I’m planning on getting these!

The noise cancellation will probably work a lot better than the AirPods Pro - definitely useful for me because I take the subway a lot

I too take the subway a lot (I’m sure neither of us have nearly as often since the pandemic hit everywhere).

that said the APP do very well at ANC.

MUST HAVES:
Be much better at ANC than B&O H7-9’s, Bowers & Wilkins P7, and the ultimate Sony WH-1000XM3’s or the Bose 700’s.

have 3.5mm balances headphone jack.
rapid quick charging 5mins charge for 15-30mins playback, 15mins for 1hour minimum.

some form of water resistance would be VERY welcome (not everyone walks and lives in California)! Or potentially work up to -15 Celsius would replace a LOt of Ear warmers ;)

seriously target should. Beats targets sports and youth segments.

Apple makes a more premium brand then sell products accordingly - then no products cannibalizes in sales of either one.

No, it's just a name.

it is kinda funny this being a brand new product that Apple cannot slap the name “Pro” on.

My question is latency... Calling these “Studio” and charging $350 for them is good and fine but can these actually be used for studio purposes. Has apple found some way through Bluetooth or other means to lower latency so people can use Garage band or Logic without plugging in?

If they have, I’ll be buying these for sure.

what kind of latency are you referring to?
There is latency to the speakers (analog), latency inherent within MIDI connections (I think it’s 8ms), so wha latency for audio over Bluetooth 5??

So having distorted the meaning of the word "pro", the marketers are now making the word "studio" meaningless... 😀

I could see it possible that if Apple completely abandons the Beats line/name, those consumers 'loyal' to the Beats brand moving to a likes of Skullcandy or JBL.
If there any such loyalists they are kids - and will upgrade to more exotic brand names - or something new that does not exist today. Same as "Beats" did not exist before...

Seriously can't wait for the AirPods Studio. Had the Sony WH-1000XM3 and now I have the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 and man, I miss the reliability and ease of use of the AirPods (don't use them anymore since I prefer over ear headphones). The Sony/Bose headphones gave and are giving me some serious problems across multiple devices.

expensive...

Compared to what? If You’re looking for identifiable features in terms of competition against Sony, Beats, Bose, Sennheisser, they’re all in that price range. You can’t expect Apple to be any cheaper given the technology will be on par, if not exceeding the competition? $350 is not unreasonable when you consider the other pricing segments for quality over the-ear-headphones.
