What was odd was that the kept bringing up that Google "just added share my location two weeks ago". Did everyone on this Apple produced show forget about Find my Friends being a thing since 2011?

If you used them both, you would realise why they kept going on about google share my location.

Stinker. I wanted to watch the entire first episode but the first pitch was so dull I just couldn't bother. Pacing is slow. The theme/background music is plodding and weak. The opening credits are amateurish. I'm always very impressed by Apple's advertising and product videos, so I expected slick production and great pacing. I'm honestly shocked they released something this mediocre.

With regards to the show - it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever for Apple to do this as the AppStore is almost 9 years old now, the hype behind the store and app creation has gone, and doing a scripted show isn't going to rejuvenate it.

Apple, please stick to technology. The world doesn't need more reality Tv crap.

Instead of spending money on this crap, how about using it to create better educationnal videos for example, about programming or using the Mac or other stuff ...

Apple has many great people. Sadly the leadership do things that give off an air of supreme arrogance and this seems to be one of them. Maybe it's because after all their successes...they have become drunk on their own success.
Apple needs to do more grass roots things to create goodwill. Something to truly give back something tangible to the communities that have so ardently supported them. Apple officers just comes off as greedy snobs.

Nothing about this feels like Apple.

they're also developing shows in the realm of 'Stranger Things'

Set in a Jony Ive designed forest? Aluminium trees with glowing white apples?
[doublepost=1496829465][/doublepost]will.i.am needs to get in a bin. People think the sun shines out of his a** but the guy is a huge, talentless douche.

Similar to The Voice and Shark Tank, developers pitch their app ideas for a chance to be mentored by will.i.am, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Alba?... o_O

You couldn't make this stuff up. Sounds The Worst. #NotTheOnion
Its a good idea for a show but the execution is bad. Really will.i.am and gweneth and jessica? I was hoping for something more entertaining like housewives.

Agreed. There is no meat.....nothing for people to like. No drama. They shouldve brought in no name people who just entrepreneurs in tech rather than actors. Most reality tv shows are scripted so things dont go off the rails.

some of the comments by the judges were just questionable... I know investors are meant to be thick headed every now and then but the judges seemed a bit too focused on punchlines -_- Might eventually turn into a nice way for select Apple execs to pocket extra cash by selling spots to this as a favour I guess...

In general, the show was bland, although I did download that companion app just because I have friends who don't use iPhones and it's a nice idea and a good feature to have in the current political climate.

But for those saying that this was educational...watch a few YouTube tutorials on how to build a business cos I guarantee you those would be a lot more educational than what is presented on TV.

First episode. Guy has a markerless AR app and he is already dead since Apples announced ARkit and all other things for developing apps like this.

This should be a feature on the AppleTV lol. I picture everyone running around Apple HQ bumping into each other and slipping on banana peels scrambling to get to the board room where they have manatee's in a tank that push idea balls up to the surface. Somehow they mixed up Apple Music with Apple TV this time.

Same thing happened with the "iMac Pro" and didn't realize it was for the MAC pro. No one asked for a all in one super computer you can't upgrade yourself that's priced literally everyone out of the market for it, because those willing to spend $5,000+ want a tower with a seperate monitor.

I watched the first episode out of curiosity but don't think I will be back.

The problem I see with these reality shows is to me they really are a product of the old TV model. You watch them because it is on TV feed to you. In the Netflix model where you are now searching for and selecting what to watch I can not think of an instance where I would go searching for a reality show.

All in all it was better than I expected, but still nothing for me.

Strange going into Apple Music and looking for a TV Show. Ah, just noticed the 'Music Videos' section refreshed to 'TV Shows and Movies'.

Well, looks like Music is well on it's way to replacing iTunes, including carrying content that is not music.

I love Shark Tank and I liked this. The problem is I do not have Apple Music, just Match, so I do not think I will be able to watch again.

I can't believe Apple is really getting into this nonsense.

Because original programming is nonsense? Ridiculous.

Your post is nonsense.

So glad I'm not an Apple Music subscriber right now.

You're glad you're getting less content than you could otherwise be? That's interesting.

EDIT: Note that I haven't had a chance to watch yet. I'm not saying the show rocks, or that people cannot decide that it isn't worth their time. However, to act like this is somehow a detriment to Apple Music users, or that "Apple has no business doing original content!!!11!11!!111!!!!," is a logically unsound position to hold.

It was never intended for any dev to apply to be a app dev! It nearly free to to become a app dev, it's not and should not be built around a reality show.

I'll have to watch a few episodes to comment, I just can't stand will.i.am personally, the man is so arrogant.
That's what I thought myself. I'm not sure how can our "critics" here were able to rate a show without watching it. It may be a new trend.

On the next subject, is Will.i.am as arrogant as Simon? And at the same time, Simon is a key character of the show he's in.
You need someone with this character to spice things up. A panel formed by similar people would be boring and not bring any conflict or excitement to the show.
