* For the 2nd time. The first iPhone was available as a refurb in 2007.
Agreed. And those prices aren't bad either. Plus you have the insurance it's coming from Apple with the warranty.
Considering how the price of the 6, 6S, and 7 may crater when (if) this major refresh hits in just 7 months, I'd avoid buying anything at this point unless you absolutely have to have it now (e.g. you drop your phone in a wood chipper).
Well, when India falls through you do this.![]()
Anyone know if you can add Applecare on top of the original warranty to these refurb phones, like you can on brand new iPhones?
Why don't you go ahead propose that MR ban all members who make negative comments about Apple?Very nice if you're in the market.
Now, let the obnoxious posts begin...
If they are like other refurb products Apple sells, they'll come with a refurb model and serial number. They don't inherit the history of their past life.1- Do they come on official sealed boxes?
2- If you verify the serial number online will it show the original release date or the refurbished one??
And your point is...? If there is a sale opportunity, Apple can and should take it, if it's profitable. Just because you bought a phone doesn't mean you're entitled to a certain resale price to sell at.Well this will kill the resale market.
what do you mean we didn't get Mac Pros? They sell it in NZ StoreNot in New Zealand yet either but then we often don't get things the US store does (like Mac Pros).
If they do I know where my next iPhone is coming from.
Dang, do want refurbished iPhone SE.

Hopefully they are better than their Genius Bar service swap phones. I'm on my second, and it has low better life out of either of the other two.

But isn't the NZ store a third party store, and not an Apple owned one? When I was there, people bitched about having to go to OZ to get to an Apple Store.
