I'm pretty sure this is not an Apple product. If Apple continues to maintain its outstanding design language. This stuff is a typical China quick design.
However, the compact design should correspond to Apple's intentions.
it’s very similar to the single-port design with folding prongs used on the 3rd-generation and later iPad Pro in the UK, just with the US’s two prongs.

The ‘difference‘ is that in the UK, the overall size of the side into which the prongs fold absolutely doesn’t cover adjacent sockets, so the design works great here.

Love the foldable prongs, not sure about the ports coming out the bottom.
I prefer that. Keep the whole thing as flat against the wall as possible. Protruding was the one problem I had with the first two generations of AirPort Express, out of the box, especially when used in a hallway to extend a Wi-Fi signal to rooms where walls otherwise degrade signal. Less of a problem here though, I guess, because you’re more likely to plug in near a desk or sofa?

That's so big compared to the one Anker sells

And I don't like how wide it is, it should be a cube

It's somewhat easier to plug/unplug them independently if they are side by side. When one is above the other, you end up having to grip one by the short sides if the other is plugged in. When they are side by side, you can grip them by the long side.

The images suggest that the charger will have a compact design with side-by-side USB-C ports, foldable prongs, and circular indents that would provide extra grip for removing the charger from a power outlet.
It would never fit on a power strip the way this render looks. It has to be rectangular, not a cube. :D

I have this Anker charger now and it's annoying - every week or so it stops charging my iPhone (but not my Apple Watch), and I have to unplug it for five seconds and plug it back in... basically "reboot" it to charge my iPhone again. I'll buy the Apple one, especially if it looks like a 1970's telephone outlet!

Given that standard prongs just out 5/8", it seems to be quite a bit smaller than the Anker one you linked to. 1.25" on the sides, vs. Anker's 1.34-1.37"; but also much shallower than Anker's 1.8" depth. And Anker's clearly is not a cube, given that all three dimensions are different.

Hard to tell from the renders, but if this block intrudes on an adjacent outlet, it’s a fail in my book. It looks like it would block both adjacent plugs in a power strip.

The block itself appears to only extend 5/8" from the center of the hole, so that wouldn't block an adjacent socket. The USB cables will come out parallel to the wall or power strip, so those could block an adjacent plug in a strip. The obvious solution would be to plug this into one of the end plugs.

Attaching this so US folks can relate easier:

There is also the absolute absurdity of the safety standards used in US households. I am surprised US plugs don't involve standing in saltwater before you plug them in.

Rumors are rumors, but if that's the actual design it's a good one, and I'll probably pay whatever the farily stiff price is for one.

Apple makes very good little USB adapters, but it has always bugged me that you can't fold the prongs down like you can with the compact connector on their laptop bricks. The only other complaint is that you have to carry more than one if you want to charge multiple devices at once.

Both problems solved, and super compact.

It looks quite similar to the existing UK Apple 20W charger, which also has foldable prongs:

Agree it's a really good, compact design - I even use mine to charge my MacBook Air sometimes. With 35W power output it'll be even better!

I just want something that can charge my iPhone, Apple Watch and MacBook Pro, as well as my wife’s iPhone, Apple Watch and iPad in the evening when traveling. I don’t think any company makes a single USB-C charger that can do that. Is it just too much power? Because you can literally buy and use an arc welder, but this heckin unicorn somehow doesn’t exist.

Price 50 Dollars
60.

if it’s 35w sum, then anyone who buys this should be embarrassed.

If it’s 35w each port, then it’s just like the studio display. There’s nothing you can quite compare it to, and it can be argued that it’s worth the money to some people.
