yeah, will install ios 7 when it hit GM, so can't tell if the ipad version ready for primetime. but I really do wish apple would launch ipad 5 on sept 10, but wouldn't really get my hopes up.

yeah, will install ios 7 when it hit GM, so can't tell if the ipad version ready for primetime. but I really do wish apple would launch ipad 5 on sept 10, but wouldn't really get my hopes up.
I hope you're right about the 5S starting at 32, and NFC, and a retina mini would be nice, but not necessary for me.
I have a bad feeling that Apple still isn't feeling NFC, and I hope I am wrong. It would be nice if they are using a fingerprint scanner and NFC together to verify it's you before transmitting payment info.
Did they not say that before the last event?
You know.., the one where they showcased Mavericks and the new Mac Pro...?
Nah, Maverics is not even needed, is an update, and option that will render my computer slower.
The New Mac Pro... different shape. I needed for the rendering power for 3D but the enclosure is not like the iMacs or when the G3 and G4 Mac Pros came out.
By the way... mark my words, there will be a new market for New Mac Pro skins, you will see. You will be able to switch the enclosure for better designs like with the cellphones today. THAT is going to be fun.
this would be a dumb move. Better to have a separate event for iPads 2 months later just before holidays than in September together with the new iPhone. Let people spend their money on iphone first and then lure them in with new ipads. Otherwise they'll just be choosing which one to buy now and later forget about buying the other one.
pretty sure you are wrong on NFC in 5S. I don't recall any serious rumors/leaks about it. By now something would have definitely leaked if it was coming.
You could say that about almost every OS release. New OS's invariably slow previous generation hardware, same as a new iOS release. What's new?
And I would hardly call the chance to swap the original enclosure for a tacky alternative, innovation either. In any case it is usually kid's that are into dressing up ['pimping'] their devices and hardware, hardly the market for Pro hardware.

That's either a good thing for us waiting for new iMacs/rMBP's, or it's a bad thing. Hopefully they don't push those two computers out farther from the event.
True. I'm waiting for both, so either one should be available. If not it will be a tough September for me just reading about the new OS X/iOS.
They filed a patent lately though, my main thought was, that it would simply make sense to combine it with the fingerprint scanner to make mobile payments save (which is the reason I believe that they didn't include NFC yet).

Which makes much sense given the fact, that iOS 7 for iPads is said to be behind schedule.
My guess then:
September: iPhone 5C + 5S, Retina Macbook Pro 15" spec bump + 13" spec bump + thinner, iMacs + Mac mini spec bumps
October: iPad 5, iPad mini 2, Mac Pro, OS X, 4k Cinema Displays
Not expecting any major Introduction (TV, Watch) in 2013.
I hope hope hope you're on the money. But does it make sense to update their Macs without doing Mavericks at the same time? :S
Be more specific where did they mentioned ipad's ram and ios battery imrpovement.
