Or maybe the updates aren‘t small. Just saying. So the event will probably be shorter than the usual 2 hours, surely they can’t spend 2 hours talking about the iPad Air and the Apple Watch. iPhone is usually the device that takes them a lot longer to talk about. Especially if the Series 6 Watch is just a small update.
I wonder if they will throw something else in there, maybe ARM Mac?
I wonder how a lot of other OEM's didn't face such intense delays. Is it just because of how many devices Apple has to move? I cant think of another company that has faced similar delays.
Not really. The media has definitely been odd in 2020 though. That seems odd, but so has everything in the year 2020.
I am looking to buy an iPad Pro 12.9” now am deliberating whether to wait until Tuesday before I buy... grrr... was hoping for iPads to get announced today so I could safely order... but another weeks wait it is... I should imagine this event will be heavily iPad focused just due to the fact it’s the 10 year anniversary this year.

Just as long as we get a date for iOS 14. I doubt they will wait until October to release it. Maybe the end of September.
I don't think the next generation of iPad Pros will be released until first half of 2021 based off the rumors. I can't really believe they would have an entire event next week without talking about the iPhone. Everyone is expecting to see the iPhones. Seems more likely to me they will announce the iPhones next week but release them only in October/November.
Fingers crossed on AirPods Studios and the other products they have planned! So the event will probably be shorter than the usual 2 hours, surely they can’t spend 2 hours talking about the iPad Air and the Apple Watch. iPhone is usually the device that takes them a lot longer to talk about. That's so lameeeeeee!
They have to announce an iPhone because of the color Blue? NO???

A own event just for watch and iPad?
That must be big news. New iPad Pro with the announcement of pro apps maybe? Despite it not being WWDC?

But in all likelihood, they'll save that for October.
They did something similar with the iPhone X. Plus iPhone sales usually slump around this time and Apple only reports numbers by quarter (AFAIK) so as long as the pre-orders are high enough they're not really canalizing anything. Lots of unknowns, so I'm not confident, but it does not make sense to have two big events a month (or less) apart. So I think we'll see an iPhone reveal.Think carefully about the consequences of that. Paper launch an iPhone but have no supplies until Oct/Nov.
What do you think happens to the price of iPhone 11? Why would Apple volunteer to Osborne their entire iPhone 11 lineup several weeks before it is necessary and lose $100 per iPhone?
The verge is reporting iPhones along with other reputable websites.
