Gee, I've got Verizon, Comcast and Amazon Prime...no help for me!

I cant change my phone, but maybe some type of alternative provider to the local Comcast monopoly.

Any suggestions on how to drop comcast and still get local content?? Lets kick Xfinity out!!

Jeeze everything released by Apple is so half baked these days.

Where is the real list of supported cable providers because this is a joke!
Huge numbers of subscribers will benefit from this. Just because your provider isn't on the list doesn't mean it's a 1/2 baked apple problem. Could be your provider that's the problem. I think this comments demonstrates what (or who) is really half baked.

What I love most here is that so many will use any excuse to bash Apple, even when the bashing isn't justified and when Apple has really come up with a great well implemented idea.

In the TV app? I don't have that app yet since I'm not running 10.2.
Oh, I see. Yeah I meant in the TV app. Nothing showing up for me after signing in with my AT&T account, except for from the CW app. Maybe I made an incorrect assumption: do you need all of the apps for all of the content providers and being logged in to your provider removes the need to sign in to these apps? I thought maybe I wouldn't have to download the app for each channel I wanted to watch shows from.

Kinda cool that they were able to push this change without a software update to the device. Im running public software iOS 10.1.1. as well so no beta here. Gives me hope that someday they can update their stock apps via the App Store or this method rather than a full-on OS update.

Also, for those wondering, I have DirecTV Now but do not have anything else with AT&T and was unable to get in. It seems that if you have AT&T services in addition to DirecTV Now you can get it to work.

DirecTV Now subscriber here.. Was able to log in with my att cell number and password.
Are you sure you have DirecTV Now (as opposed to DirecTV satellite service)? I don't see how it could possibly work with "Now", since it is currently not possible to link it to any AT&T account you might have.

If you have complaints because of no VERIZON or Comcast Xfinity, do yourself a favor. File an FCC complaint. There is a pending regulation change that would force such providers to allow you to use this but they are lobbying against it to the next administration already to stop it. SO NOW IS YOUR CHANCE TO COMPLAINT. FCC Complaints. It's easy to do.

The only app I use that seems to support TV is Comedy Central. Its pretty nice and far better than the Official CC app. Within the CC app I can only watch select episodes of shows, with TV I can watch an episode of a show. Its nice, I'm happy with it.
