During the Beta if you go into an App for Sign-in and it supports SSO it will ask you if you want to use it. Once you say yes it will be listed under the TV Provider Login on the Apple TV. I have 11 listed. I had to try all of them to find the ones that support it. But now I think once you sign in you can check for all that support it.
As I mentioned above, I tried two apps from the list and they don't actually have SSO support yet. Do you remember some of the ones that did work?

So from your perspective, apple shouldn't have released ANYTHING until ALL suppliers are signed up?

That is sensationalism and over generalization at its worst. If you don't recall, one of the big things people loved about Apple is that they held onto a product or technology until it was ready to make a significant difference. I am not sure how you can make a significant difference without Verizon, Comcast or Time Warner subscribers.

What you are saying would be like Apple releasing the iPhone without a major carrier as a partner.

Which ones for example?
I have 11 on my list. Several that start with Watch ......, NBC, Hallmark, FXNOW and more. When you try an App it will prompt you to ALLOW use of SSO. Then it gets added to the list where you can turn access off on any of the apps. You do not need to be logged in for this during the Beta.

As I wrote above, I tried the NBC app and it did not prompt for SSO.

I have just their internet and it's honestly not that bad compared to competitors in my area. Blows AT&T out of the water in speed and price, but I know that's not saying much.
I have (had?) Bright House which is now Spectrum (I don't know about their relation to Time Warner), but they're awful.

I have a new modem with faster speeds (50 down 6 up as opposed to 17/0.5), but I would randomly lose internet late a night, they always messed up the bill (still do), etc. I can't stand them, but the only other option is Verizon Fios, er, Frontier and I've heard bad things about them in my area.

What's with all these cable companies changing names. Hmmmm.... Conspiracy..

DirecTV Now doesn't exist in the Apple SSO. I think that guy was saying some *apps* he's used have DirecTV Now as a sign-in option.

It's most certainly not included in this Apple option, the end. No, using DirecTV doesn't work. It's not DirecTV, it's DirecTV Now - two different logins.

Thanks, this one actually asks for access to the SSO account. But, as expected, SSO does not authorize access when logged in with my AT&T account which does not have DirecTV satellite service linked to it. So, just being able to log in with an AT&T account does not mean that you will actually be able to access any TV services.

I wonder if DirectvNow is covered by the Directv link or if that is considered a separate service.

It appears that AT&T is treating them as separate. My DirecTV Now login isn't accepted for Single Sign-on or with individual apps that list DirecTV.

They missed all the big players.
Verizon
Comcast
TWC
Optimum

Useless service...

Not everyone uses those services and this just launched, so the only thing useless here is your comment.

Talk about sensationalism! Apple put THEIR part together. Now it's up to people to get on board. The iPhone was only on AT&T for years, yet SOMEHOW the sun still rose in the east and technology as well as society survived.

I was able to sign into DirecTV using my DirecTV Now login. I tested on my AppleTV and my iPhone 7. It gave me two check marks for validating the userID and password but I don't know if a way to see if it really worked.

A large percentage of television I watch now is 4K and gorgeous. Some
Even HDR. (More gorgeous)

Meanwhile Apple stays in mid 2000s. What has happened to this company? So many product missteps but even more software ones. Across the board.
