Given that I have no interest of losing dashboard from my Mac, there is zero incentive to move beyond Mojave to begin with.
Unless Apple breaks iOS 13.4.1, I am giving them the middle finger.

Everyday something new and bad :I'm growing so angry at apple ..this morning on iTunes there are no more apps to update. Yesterday was plenty, didn't have time to check it . Impossible to update with Configurator, neither iMazing let you update just install directly on your device
I hope it's just because they have an issue : no updates in iTunes or app store either, but it works directly on devices.

Edited: If you are using iMazing do not update it, stay with 2.11.8 that still let you drag your app as ipa
the newer 2.12 save them in its own format that is not possible to convert as the ipa used by iTunes

I stopped at Sierra because my third party software for ripping iTunes movies for personal use will not work with High Sierra or anything later. Why? Because I don't trust Apple to take care of my purchases. I spend a lot of money on movies and I think I can take better care of the content than they can!

iOS14/iPadOS14 cannot be restored using iTunes 12.6.5.x. The only way to restore iPhone/iPad is through finder. You will have to make sure iPhone/iPad shows in finder and i was able to successfully restore. It prompted me to install Mobile Device 1.0.0.0 before the restore started.

How? In Mojave?!

This morning i also was having issues in downloading apps updates from iTunes on Windows VM. It's seems to be working now.
I wish apple fix the issue ASAP of downloading apps updates directly from iTunes on Catalina.

It's working now but not the dream of being able to download apps again
Too good to be true 😟

Last year, Apple removed the App Store from iTunes. Soon after, however, Apple quietly released a special edition of iTunes that retains access to the App Store for "certain business partners" who "might still need to use iTunes to install apps."

Apple provides a download page on its website for the special edition of iTunes, which originally had a version number of 12.6.3. Two updates have since been released, including version 12.6.4 and the current version 12.6.5.

As brought to our attention by a MacRumors reader, and confirmed by our own testing, however, iTunes 12.6.5 fails to install on Mac systems updated to the public release of macOS Mojave this week. It also appears that the previous 12.6.3 and 12.6.4 versions do not function properly on macOS Mojave.

It's unclear if Apple does not plan on supporting the special edition of iTunes on macOS Mojave, or simply hasn't updated it yet. In the meantime, Apple Configurator can be used to mass-deploy apps on iOS devices from a Mac.

I'd kept 12.6.3 as it allowed use of desktop to arrange pages and folders of apps on IOS devices. I had to update itunes a while back to gain some functionality (forget what function...)

Is Windows version of iTunes 12.6.5.3 still allowing app downloads? If so, I'm thinking of wiping an old Windows laptop I have and figuring out how to transfer my mobile app folder from the Mac to PC since it doesn't seem like this feature is ever going to be added back on the Mac.

It was when I last did a download about a week ago. You will need to import all of your apps again into the Win app. Not a big deal but it may take a while if your library is large.

Has anybody successfully used an iPhone 11 Pro with iOS 14 and iTunes 12.6.5.3? I saw on Reddit somebody said it didn't work and haven't been able to find anything else on this. Has anybody gotten this combination to work?

I am also wondering if iTunes 12.6.5.3 is compatible with iOS 14.
iTunes itself sees iOS 14 is available for download, but no way to find out if it is compatible after getting the new iOS.

Edit 1:
Biting the bullet and found the SE burn phone to experiment now. Wish me luck.

Edit 2:
Cannot install iOS 14.0.1 using iTunes 12.6.5.3
Not sure if it has anything to do with this pop-up.

Thus, going through the Software Update on the phone side.
Wish me luck again... 😓

Edit 3:
The iPhone SE (original version) with iOS 14.0.1 is detected by iTunes 12.6.5.3 on Mojave.
Apps sync works.

Thanks for experimenting. I think the older iPhones running iOS 14 are okay. Just wondering about the iPhone 11 series (which I think didn't work originally with 12.6.5.3 until a later software update similar to the screenshot you posted). I can confirm the SE (2nd gen) does NOT work with 12.6.5.3 with iOS 14 (and didn't ever work even back in iOS 13 anyway).

This is scaring me from getting my main iPhone X for repairs now...😭

Is it just me that configurator 2 is not seeing any updates?

Never mind, it recovered after removing the entire configurator folder from Group Containers folder again. 😓

Did apple stopped Apps download for iTunes 12.6.5 on windows also :( ? Getting the below error, it worked yesterday.
iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknown error occurred (0x80092013).
Make sure your network connection is active and try again.
Can anyone please try and confirm?

I haven't had any problems yesterday or today with iTunes 12.6.5 and Windows.

New iPhone 12 doesn't like iTunes 12.6.5.3. , sigh.
It requires a new iTunes and I'm transferring my iPhone backup(made with old iPhone and old iTunes ) using iTunes 12.9.5. that dowloaded a short update similar to the one B4U did for his iPhone SE B4U did for his iPhone SE.
Sigh , any idea ?
