Funny MR didn't screencap the page in a proper window. as a software engineer, i have to say this design decision was . . . questionable. The things off to the right are scrollable, but it's lopsided when it loads. IMagine that but the whole length of the page looks like that.

Why is everything so gigantic on the page? It makes me feel like I need to zoom out. I don’t need 50pt text and giant photographs of everything.

Wow. Quite a few weird price drops on the Norwegian store:

Cheapest 24" iMac went from kr 15 290,- to kr 14 372,50
Cheapest MacBook Air went from kr 11 990,- to kr 11 270,00

16" 2,3 Ghz 6 core/512 GB from kr 27 490,- to kr 25 291,25
16" 2,6 Ghz 8 core/1 TB from kr 31 990,- to kr 29 431,25

Whats with the non round numbers?
the kr to usd is down about %8 in one month but they reduced the prices

Could it be they are starting to recognize their bad ideas and fix them?? Fixing the notebook keyboard issue, now this. Maybe they'll fix the 10+ year old bugs in Mail next. I'm probably getting ahead of myself.

Both links go the the same page (at least now they do).

Same and it still works.
Its good they fixed the bad link after I called them and others reached out. Nice to see a more direct way to look at products and accessaries. The previous arrangement was like a series of steps just to get to what you wanted. Glad its been improved.

Adjusting to be in line with our inflating USD?

Let me teach you something, Apple:

Git:
git pull

Then you don't need your site to be down for hours. dev/staging/production. Learn something new!

Apple use to price refurbished mobile devices at a deal price back 5-6 years ago. Now it is overprice and only a fool would buy a refurbished mobile device over a current model brand new mobile device.

Glad they brought it back but omg there is way too much going on with all these big tiles about different things on one page.

is it about products, support, education, help, refurbished. WHY NOT EVERYYYYTHANG.

it still lags a basic side navigation with categories and filters.

also what is „Shop by group“ supposed to mean? That doesn’t even make sense in my language

Wonder what took them so long.
I bet you it was in the roadmap and they decided that they would launch the redesign publicly when they confirmed the release date of the redesigned prosumer versions of their MacBook Pros.

That way, they can heavily market the new products and a new storefront will also aid in the marketing of these new devices. Win-win situation, IMHO.

I hated it when they changed it to not have the store anymore. When I want to buy a product (not learn about it, I already done my research), I want an online store where I can buy the product. When I want to learn about a product then I don't want it littered with buy links.

Yes, and it was refined and organized. The total opposite of the new one. You could neatly fit the entire store on one page.

The absolute golden era of the store..
Tight - focused - directed - organized... love it

It also helped that they were selling basically all real hardware products then.

Now it's a hawk fest for various services, buy now-pay later schemes, their Credit Card, the TV stuff, the Arcade, the Cloud, blah blah ...blah blah
