Not going to happen. EC cards are normally outdated. The one that will support Apple Pay first will be N26 for sure.In this article: https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT203027 updated on the 18th, they mention Prepaid Cards as an option to add. I only say:Sparkassen-Card. Come on Apple, hurry up
Outdated? The Sparkassen-Card? I don´t think so.Not going to happen. EC cards are normally outdated. The one that will support Apple Pay first will be N26 for sure.
I am talking about the EC Cards which will never be supported by Apple Pay. In other countries people use Debit Cards which work exactly like Credit Cards but limited to your balance like the one of N26. I went to the Deutsche Bank once and asked about Debit Cards like other online banks offer in Germany, they told me that it may come sometime in the future but not really cause people still love cash and EC Cards.Outdated? The Sparkassen-Card? I don´t think so.
"Coming soon to the 5 local stores that support Visa!"
Which is a good thing because giving up cash means giving up freedom.
Controversial!!good thing Franken is not Bavaria![]()
This is so true! We love you Germany - biggest consumer market in Europe and 50 years behind the times in the payments world!!
I´ve just seen some Apple Pay related screenshots in German language on Apple´s website.

I hope, that the launch is in the works. Landingpage for Apple Pay is gone, as I wrote. The entry for the Apple Pay Community is new. And those pages: https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT205583 https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT201239 were updated yesterday.Don't think that's new. It also works in Dutch (and so far there are no rumors for Apple Pay in the Netherlands unfortunately)
Not all the pages have been translated into Dutsch yet. On the other hand no big deal for the Dutch.I hope there will be a wide European rollout. Not just Germany and Italy but also Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Denmark etc
