Trading cards? Symbolism or sneak peak or simple Easter egg.
Yeah … I just re-read the title.

Trading cards means you can share them with others, I don’t see these are shareable. Also will they expire past the WWDC month? If we cannot share them and keep them past June 2022 why call them trading cards?
 
So many stunted imaginations here not seeing the commercial and non-commercial possibilities of AR. This isn't a brand new technology.

Agreed. I would think to have them be stored in your iCloud account and have them as memorabilia.

Pretty cool. The code seems to only appear as a reflection in bright light? I don't think I've ever seen AR use the environment lighting like that.

They all do, it’s a part of ARKit’s ability to determine the color and direction of light in the scene. Not only that, but if you grab one of the older ones that just float in space and put them near a vertical wall and any shadow will follow the plane and color of the wall.
