Because they clearly wouldn't do some similar type of thing for revenue if they weren't bought by Facebook? They need to make money no matter who owns them. Don't think there's anything pointing to the app really being much different than it is now whether or not Facebook bought them.
No kidding, eh. Images take up boatloads of storage and bandwidth. How exactly do people expect this to be free in perpetuity?
I also hate ads, but it's not hard to understand: you either pay for something directly or there are ads. And it's been decently well established that people don't like paying for things on the internet.
Reality is tough.

i would be the one who would pay for an ad free verison i always pay for a pro verison if they offer it...i am one who can not stand ads in my apps...

I'd pay as well. I much prefer Instagram over Facebook, anyways. I definitely post on Instagram a lot less than I used to, though.
At least they've been fixing their bug infested app lately.

Flickr Auto upload doesn't really work. I guess it only uploads new pics, not all pics on your phone. Even then, it doesn't upload them all.
My current settings are wifi only, not wifi and cellular.

ESPN usually is really slow in updating their apps scorecenter and streak for the cash would be nice to be updated at the same time

Tweetbot may be around the corner. They updated their profile icon on twitter and their icon and background image on the tapbots account.
I get upset thinking about how long they've taken, but then I remember it's basically 2 guys working on this... then I try to have a bit of patience. Hopefully it's all worth it.

It would be nice if we got an update from Tweetbot about it's iOS 7 progress. I mean, they had the betas for a few months now and I understand that I am sure they have a life, but still. It's my fave Twitter app and I can't even use it. 🙁

Why can't you use it? The current version of Tweetbot works great on both iOS 6 and iOS 7. I've been using it *heavily* since the iOS 7 update with zero issues.

That looks neat. Another messenger app that has a beautiful UI is Hash Messenger app, but there's just no point in me using other apps cos' everyone I know only use Whatsapp. Taking like eons for Whatsapp to release any update for iOS, but that isn't the case for Android.

I just downloaded it again. I received one mention and this is what pops up
For some reason, whenever I receive a notification the icon badge shows like 50+ messages. Its apparently only affecting people who have updated to the beta and than back to iOS 6 back when betas were released. There is no known fix for it yet, so I am assuming that is what's taking it so long.

I went from iOS 7 back to iOS 6 too, and it happens to me too. That's why I've been using Twitteriffic for now.

It's ridiculous that a mainstream app that people essentially pay $10 a month for, Spotify, is still not updated for iOS7...

I've always gone back and forth between echofon and tweetbot. I like the simple look of echofon because it's sleek and not so blocky looking like tweetbot. Tweetbot however wins hands down because of functionality. I'm fine using echofon but would really like to see a tweetbot iOS7 update before months end.
