I used it today for the 1st time. I use Bluetooth earphones, so I kept it on the side of the treadmill while running. I did a timed workout and used my timer App on the floor right next to the rack I was using. Worked out great.

Amphipod Airflow Lite belt

For anyone still looking for a solution for running, cycling or exercising with the Plus, you may want to consider the Amphipod Airflow Lite. I generally use a SPIbelt running, but use the Amphipod when I've needed to run with my old 5s with mophie attached. The Amphipod fits (barely) the Plus with the Apple leather case.

One caveat – with the SPIbelt and 5s, I generally wear the pouch in the front, but with the Amphipod I found it best to have the pouch in the back with the 5s/mophie. I went out for a 7 mile run with the Amphipod and a Plus yesterday and it worked fine.

Previously, I refused to consider the Plus because I didn't want to go for long runs without an phone, and I didn't want to have to maintain a second, smaller phone just for running. I learned yesterday that although there may be other reasons a Plus doesn't work for me – jury's still out – running and cycling isn't one of them. Hope that helps. YMMV

when running I use the JayBird BlueBuds X Sport Bluetooth Headphones. They are awesome. Battery lasts about 3 hours. Supper small and compact design. I typically run 20 miles a week.

I use the same headphones and have been for over a year. They are excellent. I get about 6-7 hours on one charge. Even the connection outdoors with phone in a pocket is good and usually hold well without any static. What is also cool is if you are using them with an iPhone, you can see the battery level of the headphones on your iPhone screen in the status bar.

Plus is pretty secure in the amphipod? Not to tight to put any extra stress on it or anything right? No bending pressure? Maybe a dumb question, but I gotta ask.

i think if something starts interfering with what you do then the product isn't right for you.

i mean if you're constantly worried that you're phone is gonna get scratched/dented/bent to the point that you change the way you move then it's not for you. get something else.

I use it 6 days a week. It rests on the magazine rack holder thing when on treadmill or stationary bike. When I'm lifting or stretching, it's in my shorts. I definitely notice it there but it doesn't bend at all. Not restrictive but am conscious of it so as to not do any stretch in a way that might pull on its ends too much. Having also used a regular 6, I would not say the 6+ is any more noticeable or restrictive. Whereas the 5S I barely noticed I had in my pocket.

The gym was part of the reason I bought the 6 plus. On the days I do cardio, I like to watch YouTube or Hulu while I run or bike (helpful because i find jogging so boring). This was one area where I liked to use my htc one over my iPhone 5. The plus is not as convenient on strength training days where I keep my phone in my pocket. It likes to fall out, but that hasn't been a huge problem so far.

I think a phablet is just too much for running....

That's the main reason I'd prefer the 6 to replace my 5S: I need a wearable phone for fitness.
