I ordered the GSS 44mm. I also ordered the black sport loop, and have my S0 black sport band. I think gold watches look good with black bands, the tacky look can sometimes come when the band is also gold (but not always).
I will have to see how the gold milanese loop looks in person, on my arm before I would even think of trying to pull it off.
I ordered the same watch, with the stone sport band. I think that band will look nice, as well as my sport loop bands (I have a black and one of the Nike sport loops in a darker blue) and my leather loop bands (I have brown, black, and the off-white one whose name I cannot recall now). Should look good with most sport bands....
That leaves the Milanese loop as a huge question mark. I would not wear the silver ML with with it (I have that band) because I don't like it when the connectors are a different metal from the casing. I do not know if I'd like that gold Milanese... it might be a bit too much.
I would really like a two-tone gold and silver metal band of some sort. But, I doubt anyone but Apple could make one I didn't find tacky.
I like the look of the Hunter Green leather loop, but I want to see it in person first, I think.
I ordered the same one, with the sports band. I had a rose gold series 0 which I always wore with a white sports band. I think the space gray one has too much black with the black of the screen extending into the black(space gray) on the sides of the watch. This adds some color to it.I ordered an Aluminum 44MM Gold today. I think it will look good. I've had space gray for years.
The color greatly depends on your typical attire as well as skin tone, some people just wear a different color better, it's kind of odd and fascinating.
This is literally never going to happen lolJust buy whatever you like and don’t mind other people’s opinions.
I wish they made white watches or at least some bright colors like orange and pink.
Technically they did make a ‘white’ watch in ceramic with the Series 2 and Series 3. But orange and pink are likely not Future options for a case in color.

I am looking to upgrade my current series 3 42mm Hermes edition with the 44 mm stainless steel gold. I think the gold with my Ebene barenia deployment buckle will look gorgeous because it such a rich deep colored brown on that band it’ll look really nice with the gold stainless steel 44 mm
What do you guys think of that combination?
Is it just me or does the Stainless Steel "gold" look more like bronze? Obviously I haven't seen it in person but in the pics it looks bronze
I just wanted to thank you guys for all the feedback - went with the Gold SS 44 mm with sports band. The milanese loop band is on its way and just got the forest green leather loop band today - couldn’t be happier (and it definitely doesn’t not look tacky)!
Here are some pics with the forest green leather loop![]()

As a man who is considering preordering the SS gold color 44mm Series 4 I started wondering - is a gold-colored watch too “smartass”/tacky for a man to wear on a daily basis?
What are your thoughts? Do you dislike the gold-variant and why? Why do you prefer the other options?
