Yes! Was going to get a mini but love the look if the air. Selling my 4th gen and getting the air. Just need to decide on size..,,

I'm getting the 32gb LTE iPad Air to replace my my iPad 3. My only question is do I stick with Verizon or go T-Mobile?

Need to research LTE coverage for T-Mobile in Southern Cali

I went from a 3 to a 4, sold my 3 to a friend (he got a good deal and I was happy to not have a hassle on eBay or Craigslist).

If someone gave me the 5 for the same price that I got a refurb 4 for, then I would take it. I like the 5, it's nice in the videos but the 3 was really kind of fine for me. I didn't want to take the overall hit in value so went with the 4. I'll do the same next year I suppose.

I'm locked in on a contract on my iPad line, so I pretty much had to stick to cellular and even in this cloud based world, I felt more comfy at 32GB, so I pretty much just spent a little stay more current for the next year and not depreciate my initial iPad purchase so much.

Yes I'm definitely upgrading from my iPad 3 to the iPad Air. I skipped the iPad 4 and iOS 7 is not totally smooth on my iPad 3. Also the iPad Air is a big jump from previous iPads. I'm going to get the 128GB Wi-Fi plus cellular silver/white iPad Air.

absolutely. I was pissed after they released the 4 but knew it was the "toc" in the "tic-toc" rhythm...so waited til the Air.

Will likely wait until app upgrades start making me feel "boxed in".

The lighter weight and thinness is not a huge plus in view of my typical usage.

The speed enhancement will be nice when I finally do make the jump either to the "iPad Air" or the next one the "iPad Wind".

On the fence also. My iPad 3 does everything nicely except it lags horribly in The Simpsons: Tapped Out. I am still on iOS 6.1 ... really unsure what iOS 7 would bring to overall experience.

I've always gotten in on launch day excitement and loved it when they had pre-orders! Now, I am completely unexcited for some strange reason

No. Keeping my iPad 3 running iOS 7. A bit laggy at times, but usable.

Let's see what 2014 brings. Looking for Apps that use that 64-bit processor's capabilities.

Yep, already sold my iPad 3 last week, ready to grab the Air. Worth it for the weight/size factor, and the lightning port (finally no more 30-pin)

Yes. With iOS7 the iPad 3 is somewhat laggy. Now need to decide between the Air or retina mini.....

This is exactly how I feel. iOS 7 slowed down my gen 3 a bit. And with many heavy usage apps I felt it lagged. Have it in black. Sold it today. Mint conditions 16 gb...got more than expected. Now for sure I'm getting the white one to match my silver iPhone 5S. I believe I'm going with the iPad air since it will be available next week versus the mini being available later in November. Shipping the gen 3 iPad Friday. So life without an iPad will suck LoL

90% of what i do on my iPad is web surfing & the iPad 3 does just fine on that for me, but that Retina mini is a lustful siren calling me....

Got my kids a first gen mini a few months back & fell in love with it, the only thing that made me keep the big ipad with the beatiful retina screen....

For those complaining about iOS 7 being laggy on the 3.. I had the same issue.

I did a clean install from iTunes (setup as a new ipad, not restore from a backup) of 7.0.3, and turned on Reduce Animations under Accessibility. It's back to performance similar to iOS 6.

I did the same, but my 3 is still laggy at times - very noticeable when typing.

Pretty sure that I'll be getting the iPad Air.....I do want to see and handle one in the store first. Unfortunately I won't be able to do anything on Launch Day, won't be able to get to an Apple store until a week or two later since I'll be away from home, at the time of launch and a little while after that, but I fully anticipate spending some time hunched over a hot Mac feverishly checking the availability of the model I want in local Apple stores during November! I am hoping that the situation won't be quite as bad as the iPhone 5S was......

I was but now with mini having 128gb storage, the same a7 chip and a retina display I am leaving the full sized iPad cult for something more manageable when I am in bed surfing the net or watching a movie/tv show

I was going to but the main reason I needed/wanted to upgrade was for more space. So I am now looking into maybe getting a refurb 32 or 64gb model for cheaper plus still getting a little spec bump.

Yes, yes, yes! 3rd gen iPad is super slow for me an I'm not even running iOS 7 on it.

Yes! I need the 128 Gb and have been waiting for this since the iPad 4 128G appeared last year. I'm selling both iPads.

After reading The Verge's quick hands on review, changed my mind and will get one. Nice to go up to 32 gb and gift my 3-16gb to my sister. It will be my personal Christmas gift to me this year

100% yes. The 3rd and 4th gen are so thick and heavy that even though they are beautiful to look at, they are no fun to hold. Especially with 1 hand. If it feels anything like the Nexus 10 or Galaxy 10 tabs, I'll be golden!
