oh buddy, I'm the wrong person to ask because i'll say yes LOL. i love buying new ipads and iphones. touchID itself is gonna get beefed up with app integration so its going to be more functional than ever.

Yes, well I don't got that kind of money! I would have to sell my current though for $400 and save up a little for the new one.

if ur sure that you're buying it, i would sell 2-3 weeks before the announcement date, because prices will fall the closer it is to the announcement date.. and it would even fall even more after its announced. so if the rumored 9/19 is accurate, put ur ipad on sale last week of august.

Okay...now I am thinking about selling my iPad mini Retina WIFI 32GB. How much do you think it will sell for? Where should Insell it or trade it in?:apple:

I wouldn't sell it just yet. Since there is no clear indication of when the next iPad will be out you will be stuck without one for an unknown amount of time. Just use your current iPad and enjoy it. :)

You mean sell it two weeks before the suspected release date? Like late September? Or do you mean to use it till 2015?

I sold my ipad after the new one was released. the problem is that I didn't get as much as it was before they announced it. so if you want to be sure and don't mind the less price, I say wait. but if you want the most of it and we are pretty sure the release date, then sell it before the release date.

Good luck.

Thanks Bud! I'll let you guys know what happens!

you come across as fresh in the community.. not a bad thing, we're here to help.

Yeah...DUH I'm a MacRumors Newbie! I just don't know what to do (Keep Rmini or sell it for 3rd gen mini)! I want TouchID but I am getting an iPhone with it anyway in a few months. The Amin reason would be for Touch ID.

I upgrade every year and usually hand my iPads down, but no iPad leaves here until I have the new one in hand and am happy with it. I love my current Air which took 4 tries to get as the first 3 had yellow screens, so I'll be happy to keep it if there are any problems with the latest release.

The few months I went with an iPad last year were killer! I use it for everything....more than my iPhone.

I'll sell at the last possible minute, but BEFORE release. This time around, I'll still have an iPad Air to keep me company. :D

I think I regret selling it this early. I was worried that a week before announcement was bad because value would drop and frankly who would want to buy an iPad 2 then. It's safe to say it's pretty common for people to know that a new iPad is due. So wanted to save myself the trouble. $300 for 16 wifi isn't bad. Especially for a 3+ year product. You're right. It sucks though. With just an iPhone :(

I need to wait to see what Apple announces. It's a longshot, but if there is anything resembling what I would call an iPad Pro then I'd probably get it. If there is an iPad mini with active digitizer, then I'd probably get that.

Yes but I need the money in order to get a new iPad. But did you really sell yours eight before the release date and get a good price for it?:apple:;):p:confused::eek:

I won't sell until I see what's available. If all that is released are marginal updates of the current rMini and Air, then I'll keep what I've got (64GB iPad 4).

But then again, I'm not overly concerned with maximizing the price that I'll get for it.

Doubt it. This generations air that I have works just fine with me. Not to mention I have the surface pro 3 on pre order. So My budget is extremely tight. Maybe next year.

I might get the new retina mini as my original mini will be 2 years old. I don't think the price I'd get for it will change much between now and October/November due to it being one generation behind so it wouldn't matter when I sold it.

I won't sell until I get the new device. IF I'm even upgrading. We will have to see what the mini 3 brigs to the table.

I posted earlier that I would likely sell both my retina mini and the air in December. I won't be selling the mini because it is the128GB LTE model. I'll sell the air because it's the 32GB wifi.
