My 2008 White MacBook died a couple of months ago, so I am in a need of a laptop.
My initial plan was to get an 11" MBA. This update was a disaster for us European, the price got up by 100 euros for a minor spec bump. Then I thought that a 13" 2011 MBA would do the game, but I just realized that the MBAs do not have a Kensington slot! So any MBA is not a choice for me.
I will go for a 13" 2011 MBP if I can find it with a massive discount, and stuff it with an SSD and extra RAM.
Otherwise, back to Linux.

Well, it appears that many people are planning to get this. I would jump on board... but... I dunno. I plan to run Windows on this thing and non-native resolutions on LCD screens don't look that great.

selling my 13" MBA and getting a 15" next gen MBP....and depending on what my wife thinks of it I will sell her 13" MBA and buy her either a 15" next gen MBP or 13" MBA

Did you guys notice, Apple online store does not allow you to upgrade the previous model Macbook Pro memory to 16GB...

It only provides the option for Next-gen Macbook Pro (Retina)

I don't think the 2011 versions had a 16GB BTO option either. That doesn't mean you can't install 16GB though.
