I always hated screen/glass protectors on iphone but always end up getting it anyways.

Ive always had light scratches or small swirls on my screen even though i am super careful. Are the 11 pro max screens scratch resistant this year?

I’m not going to get one. I stopped getting them a few iPhones back, right not have have one light graze on my xs max but not really noticeable unless you take quite a bit of time to look at the screen. These screens are pretty durable IMHO.

Never used a screen protector. But I’m considering it because my XS Max has scratches all over the screen, even being as careful as I can. I’d get one that’s as invisible/unnoticeable as possible.

I do cases, no screen protectors.

I do pick up a few scratches and nicks after a year or two of use, but that’s just regular wear and tear in my eyes. Better than dealing with cracked/bubbling screen protectors on a daily basis.

I've upgraded every year since the original iPhone.

Never put a case or protector on any of them. Never will. That includes my 512GB Space Grey 11 Pro Max coming on Friday.

I treat them well, and they're still 'like new' a year later (minor exception for the 3G/3GS with the plastic shells that unavoidably ended up with micro scratches due to the soft material).

So I never use screen protectors but debating on it this time. I have been looking at these ones quite a bit. Couple questions, if you don't mind. Do these effect the screen quality in anyway? Doesn't make it dimmer? does it effect the touch sensitivity?

The one I linked is what I’ve been using for years. It does not effect screen quality, brightness or sensitivity. It also comes with an installation frame that makes it super easy to install.

I install the glass screen protector as soon as I take the phone out of the box.

I always use a screen protector. When I got the last iPad Pro, I skipped the screen protector since I had a great case with a cover. Somehow the screen cracked. I just had it replaced by Apple. So yes, I have both a new case and new screen protector sitting waiting for the arrival of my new phone.

Nope. Never have used either dating back to my first iPhone, the 3G.

My XS Max has a few scratches on the screen but nothing that makes it unusable. I don't have the patience to put on a screen protector as knowing my luck I'd have nothing but air bubbles covering it

I will be. My XS Max has some noticeable scratches on it and I don't want the same thing happening to this one. I have a 5 year old who uses and abuses my phone on occasion.

With my Iphone 7 plus did not use one , however after 3 years using it with out the screen protector I did notice the screen leaves a lot of finger smudges , definitely picking one up with the Pro Max

Under normal circumstances I prefer to go nakit, same goes for my phone :p

But I have bought film protection for both the front and back of my Max. Only because the wife’s dragging me kicking and screaming to our caravan shortly after I get it and I just know from experience I’ll want them.

Taking photos out in the wilds of Scotland, while dealing with a dog, the rain making the phone slippy, my stupid nerve damage and so on and so on, it’s going to get dropped, no doubt about it.

I’d like to keep it scratch free at least for the first week. Although I am very tempted to throw caution to the wind and just leave it au naturel, to test Apples claim of it being the toughest glass ever. We’ll see...

I’m debating this too. I typically don’t like screen protectors but my dis max has a lot of micro scratches, way more than previous iPhones I’ve owned so now I’m contemplating using one but I prefer the screen without.
