Are you gonna install the GM or waiting for official?

Are you gonna install iOS 8 GM?

I am tempted to install the GM, but I wonder if it is better to wait for developers to submit updates to the apps I use to fix any issues with iOS 8?
 
I'll be going to GM straight away, but because I have to test my apps. Would probably have stayed on 7 until updates started appearing in the store. Can live with the bugs, but not with broken apps.
 
Does anyone remember what time Apple seeded the GM build last year with iOS 7? Is it immediately after the keynote or a few hours later?
 
i will download the GM... i dont want to wait for public release and apple servers get hammered with all the users downloading ios 8. if the public is different from the GM with is unlikely then i will re download again

GM is an official build.

GM official build today.
Or wait til next week when Apple pushes the GM to all the general peons.
 
I will install the GM on my 5s but my iPad Air is sticking with iOS 7 until a jailbreak is available for iOS 8 ; Springtomize, iFile, SafariDownloadManager, WiFi Passwords and AdBlocker are a must for me on my tablet.
 
I see no reason why I shouldn't update to iOS 8 GM. It's probably the exact same build as the public release ;)
 
I think the deciding factor has to be iCloud services. What will happen with iPhoto on desktop and Photos on iOS. What happens with iCloud drive if I have iOS 8 on my iPad and stick with iOS 7 on my phone for now. To many back-end changes to mix, sounds risky with data. What do you guys think?

Don't upgrade to iCloud Drive. Don't use iCloud Photo Library.

Yes you should be prompted before enabling those features. Launching photos asks you to enable iCloud Photos, you can skip it and keep photostream on. Same for iCloud Drive.. Upgrading is an option as well, but that one is not reversible.

I would back up all the photos on your phone etc. to Dropbox. That way, when you do enable iCloud (whenever that is), you won't lose anything.
 
Re-upgraded to Beta 5 again this morning so I can hopefully download the GM OTA while at work. Can't wait!
