I am meh.. Content would be the better word as opposed to happy.

I got the base nTB version and t's a nice computer.. Was it worth the price all things considered? Nope... Am I going to keep it full well knowing Apple stuck the Apple Tax to me? Yeah...

The color is stated on the box. I agree tho sounds like maybe you got a lemon IDK. Maybe swap it out

My bar is plenty bright. A option to adjust tho would be nice. You can move the Siri button to anywhere you want.

found this on another thread they seemed to figure out how to adjust brightness on kybd...apologize if you already found a fix just started reading through this thread. r/ i also attached screenshot of specific convo.

How is the noise while playing Overwatch? On my 2012 rMBP with a 650M I'm getting 60 fps on low and 900p. But the fans ramp up to max rpm and it's quite loud.

The fan is much quieter now. Even at the highest rpm, it's still not too loud.

Two things.

Product design should be intuitive , with all the markering hype , where exactly has apple made it clear the cable that comes with the computer is usb2 speeds , don't blame the customers here, for not finding some fine print in my opinion . Hint here is something as simple as blue connectors as used for usb3 is good product design .

I honestly had to go out of my way to find and confirm the charge cable was only usb2 speed .

TB 1 and 2 backward support on the new MacBooks is apples issue and it's not working well from everything I have read, I will try my sonnet on Tuesday when I get the dongle , if the new MacBook Pro cannot see my Sonnet express , it's a deal breaker, every other mac wirh TB I own, be it TB1 or TB2 works fine.

They market the cable as a charging cable, not data cable, not apples fault that some ppl are dumb enough to not understand it

People have been using USB whatever standards, 30 pin, lightning etc etc for a very very long time, do you honestly believe the consumer differentiates between a cable that is meant for charging and data? No the consumer is not dumb, they expect the cable to do both, as does the Apple charging cable.

You may also notice they don't sell the "data" version of it ....

I would not worry, for the smart consumers are are plenty of dongles :)

This is a particularly dumb comment.

All Apple says on its website is "USB-C charging cable". As far as common language use goes, that can very well mean this cable is provided so it can be used for charging (with the supplied power brick), not that it can only be used for charging. If the cable was only good for charging, they should have put a footnote - God knows their product descriptions are choke-full of footnotes containing limitations and disclaimers.

Then claiming that people are "dumb" for not checking a minute description that doesn't even say what you claim it says, against the reasonable expectation that a USB-C cable - just like a USB cable - can be used for both data and charging is remarkably asinine.

Cables marketed as such have always been charging only, no data (especially the cheap USB ones). It's a nice surprise that this cable also does data (even if it is just USB2.0).

And yes it really is dumb to expect that cables that are clearly marketed being for charging to do anything other than charging. It's like looking at a car and expecting it to be a cargo plane

Eh, It's limitations are clearly defined on the website and the box. People just need to pay a little more attention sometimes and read. Maybe it's just me though.
