I thought I was OCD until I read this thread
I love the "it's just a phone" people. It's like they say it to make themselves feel better about their own OCD tendencies towards caring for their device which cost them hundreds of dollars.
Just treat it like a phone and you'll enjoy it a lot more.
I used it for a week with no case or shield and actually liked it more than when I had it in a bumper or shield.
Shows how much you know about the iPhone. It's more like a computer that has the ability to make phone calls. It's not just a phone.
I wash my hands before I touch my phone, fingerprints are EVIL!![]()

Has anyone given their iPhone a name?
its just a phone.
Has anyone given their iPhone a name?
Or they actually don't have OCD.
its just a phone.
Yeah, except I got comments just because I said I find myself getting out the micro-fiber a lot to clean the screen. I wouldn't exactly call that excessive. I clean the screen because the retina display really makes the smears and fingerprints annoying. *shrug*
To me it's less that someone finds something in particular that someone does overboard and more people who just want to take cracks at people who actually say they care about their device.
I honestly don't think anyone who bothers to read and post about their iPhone can really be said to be on the level of "it's just a phone".
If it was "just a phone", what point would their be in being here? You would simply use the device for it's intended purpose and be done with it.
I take great care of all of my stuff, especially electronics, but I can't say that I am OCD. For some reason, I have never had as much of a concern/attachment to phones as I have to other devices, like a laptop or computer.
With the iPad, I somehow managed to use it without a screen protector and it is awesome. The screen seems durable enough and it's great to touch.
I don't know, perhaps I am loosening up on this issue.
