i... i... i.. feel normal. well, i'm rather paranoid about my battery life for starters, i still have the plastic wrap on the iPhone that came originally (till i get those non-glare screen protectors) and i've got about 3 - 4 cases. i jailbroke to get activator so that i wouldnt have to press the physical buttons that much. lol

Shows how much you know about the iPhone. It's more like a computer that has the ability to make phone calls. It's not just a phone.

Think you missed the point.

I used to be way to OCD with my iPhone and was able to shake a little bit of it. But I still maintain some old habits...

Actually, you are backwards. It is a phone (and not a very good one this time around) with the ability to do many other things like a computer. Thus the name IPHONE or as some others call it and other devices, a SmartPHONE. It's really a comunications device. Still if i have a lot to say, i call instead of text. Much easier.

Anyways, i clean the screen if it gets messy ( with any phone i have) but i dont buff it out everyday or use any kind of liquid or solvent. Not OCD at all. I put a case on it and hardly take it off. Only change the screen protector if it gets messed up somehow.

Just read your sig and it made me jones for my old 1st gen Touch, the iOS device that kickstarted my addiction. :)

I have had my 2G for 2.5+ years without a case and hardly a scratch anywhere on the phone. No OCD here but just took care of it. When I get the iP4 I will have to use something because the glass back looks like it gets surface scratches easily. Surface scratches bug the hell out of me.

The worst culprit was the chrome back on the iPod Touch. What the hec were they thinking with that? Slippery as hell too and got scratched just sitting there....lol

I've been more OCD about my previous iPhones. I'm trying to be better about #4. I have to keep telling myself it's normal wear and tear and it's a mobile device and usually I feel better.

I wiped it very well with a micro fiber cloth & put it in it's Otterbox Defender case. This case protected it perfectly yesterday when I not only dropped it while jogging, but kicked it down the sidewalk as it bounced.

As has been posted in this thread, it is an investment as much as it is a phone, or computer, or communication device. The better looking it is next year the higher the resale value.

I guess I'm OCD to an extent. I use a Wrapsol cloth that I got with my screen protector to clean it daily, it's pretty much always in a case (I tried going naked; I hated it), & I won't let anyone else touch it.

It seems like the i4 gets way more fingerprints than the previous iPhone models. It's kind of annoying. But oh, well.

Has anyone given their iPhone a name?

Mine's "Old Dirty Hank" in iTunes simply because it makes me laugh when I see it. I don't actually personify it or anything, though.

As for the rest, I have a TPU case on it simply because I'm afraid I'll drop it--it feels slicker in my hands naked than the 3GS did. No screen protector; I don't like the feel of them. I have a Decal Girl skin on the back and sides because I dig the pattern. That's about all I do. No obsessive restoring or hand-washing or baby talk or special car seat.

I've found this to be quite effective...

Each morning I spread cream cheese and jelly (apricot is best) on my screen and then put it near my dog's bowl.

She runs in and vigorously licks off the afformentioned shmear (again, use apricot) and voila!!

The cleanest iphone you've ever seen!;)

My OCD is constantly checking my battery life since I got the ip4.
But hoping that will fade....

I still have the plastic protectors that come on the iPhone 4, and will continue to have them until my SGP screen shields arrive.

That is definitely a new (sad) level of OCD :)

I had all my folders on the second page (alphabetically, for folders and apps in the folder, naturally), but decided to try and consolidate to one page... Not sure if this will make my head explode or not, but it hasn't yet :)

Now I reserve the bottom two rows for 6 folders (Entertainment, Games, Lifestyle, Music, News, and Utilities), leaving 2 empty spaces on the bottom.

Top two rows have to be in the following order:
Calendar, Contacts, Notes, Camera
Maps, Settings, IM, Photos

Dock has to be: Phone, Mail, Messages, Safari (in that order)

Phone app always has to be exited on the Favorites.

I also have serious issues with wiping the phone down with the micro cloth at every opportunity. During work meetings I don't even notice that I sit there and wipe it down constantly... my coworkers think I'm nuts.
