It's quite funny that people are going to have a folder for "Rarely Used" apps.

If they're rarely used, and you recognise you rarely use them, then why have them on your iPhone to begin with!?! :D

There are apps that are good to have but you don't use all the time. I have "Repair Pal" it gives estimates, based on your location, for the cost of repairs to your car. I don't use it often, but when my truck broke down, it was helpful to let me know if the price that they were quoting me was reasonable or not. I'm not a car guy. Now, this type of app, is nice to have but hopefully you are not using it that often! :D

I also have a flashlight app. One time, years ago (pre-iPhone) my kids and I were caught in a power failure in the basement of a department store. It was pitch black and my kids happened to be a few isles over looking at the games. The only way people made it out was the light of their phones. So this is one of those things that I keep around, just in case. It has come in handy when dropping something on the floor during a movie too.

I also have the free mapquest turn by turn directions. I rarely use it because I typically know where I'm going. But for those rare occasions when we are going somewhere new. There it is.

So yes, there are apps that are rarely used, but are important.

I'm gonna use it most def. I have all my pages organized. I have a games page and a utility page. I usually only have 3 or 4 pages, but I like the home page defaulted (I'm just anal :p)

Obviously some of us are going to put there Stocks, Weather, iTunes, Contacts etc. which you can`t delete. I hate the fact that you can`t delete them. Why not make that option and have it available from the App store? Retarded..

It's funny that you mention this because a lot of the apps people are saying that they area going to put into their "unused" folder are the apps that everyone was bitching about because they were not included on the iPad, lol.

can't wait for it. I've already used up all 11 pages :D

it's just my nature to have over 200 apps or so on my phone. I NEED folders!

There's no way I'll ever use folders. Spotlight works perfectly for launching things.

Its funny, on OS X i use spotlight all the time for launching apps, sometimes even apps in my dock. On the iphone, I'll sometimes find myself hunting for an app before i realise I can just spotlight it... I think the keyboard is part of it, its just nowhere near as fast as cmd space - app.

I think I will, but I only have 2.5 pages of apps, so i don't think I would really need folders to sort them, I have most used on home page, and then it goes to least/never used at the end...

How about those junk stock apps like "Stocks" and "Voice Notes", etc.

I think it's brilliant!
I can't wait to have a folder for all my restaurand related apps, a folder or two for games, a folder for organizational apps...etc.

It'll be so nice to have a cleaner looking screen, and fewer screens to swipe between.
:D

I'm stoked.

I will use folders, but I wish the let us use a real icon. It just looks weird.

I think a good idea would be to make the folder icon whatever icon goes with the app in the first position in the folder.

Yes, can't wait, just wish the icon looked better.

Feel the same; quite surprised with Apple for using such an ugly icon. I don't need to see the apps that are inside the folder since I'm the one who did the organizing so I'd prefer category icons that look more like the Genre icons in iTunes. I don't think I'll be using Folders purely because of how ugly they are.

That would be nice...or even being able to choose one of the icons in the folder...

Either way...It's still going to be nice to have a little more organization and method to the app chaos on my phone.

Well I use a jailbreak app for folders, and it lets you place as many apps in the folder as you want, and it has custome icons. So I think I will still use that app even when apples laim folders are available:D

That is true, especially Stocks and Weather.

I can see why people want rid of Contacts, since you can access it via the tabs on the bottom of the Phone app screen.
