Returned my TSMC for a Samsung !
I understand what you're saying, and I don't take it lightly. I have a 64GB 6s with the Samsung chip, and I was initially concerned after reading the front page report on MacRumors. However, tests posted by reputable sites such as Tom's Hardware and Consumer Reports, as well as my own usage over the past ten days, have put those concerns to rest.
And consider this: if there were really a problem with the Samsung chips, considering how many 6s and 6s Plus phones have them, there would be such a backlash that Apple would have trouble overcoming it. iPhones are popular because they work and are basically trouble free. I used my 4S for four years without an issue. I know plenty of people still using older models, from the 4 to the 5s, and none have had any problems with their phones.
I just really don't think there is an issue with the Samsung chips. If I did, I would return it. My 6s does not get warm and the battery is very good.
Which chip runs hotter in the 6s Plus?
With no clear or consistent answer..The samsung chip battery is good comparing to any Android phones, but is it good comparing to TSMC chip is another question.
Are you still speaking about worst chip ? Even after Consumers Report's analysis ? You are verging ridiculous ......

So I did my own testing with the difference CPU's while at my laboratory(and by laboratory, I mean house). I had interesting results.
The first test I conducted was from a restored backup of my TSMC A9 to my Samsung A9. I was finding a consistent 20-30 percent difference between the two(favoring TSMC) after 3-4 hours of various testing.
I later found an error in my tests. Safari had about 12 tabs in memory for most of the test that I wasn't aware on the Samsung A9, but only 4 tabs on the TSMC A9, so that result was tossed out.
I then restored again from backup and insured all settings an apps where identical, including brightness. Ran through 4 hours of netflix, nfl streaming, safari browsing and gaming. (pretty much the same test as the first run).
I was surprised to find zero difference, silencing my own suspicion.
My biggest question now, is what is it exactly about geekbench which is causing the extra battery draw on the 96mm die? Is it memory load? This will bug me until I understand why.
Please do. The Samsung chip is in mine, but battery life has been fine.
I use my phones heavily and so far almost 7hr sot I don't see an issue unless the tmsc one can do 9 loo
All tmsc can do 8 hours or more, yours is at least one hour less than tmsc
8hr sounds nice
It's the normal 6s not the plus btw lol
Then it is much worse, 6s suppose to has longer battery life than 6s plus with smaller monitor.
Are you on crack?
And if you're serious about your previous comment "All tmsc can do 8 hours or more", try playing a graphically intensive game for 8 hours on a TSMC chipped phone. Let me know how that goes...

My friend uses 6s plus TSMC, always play 3D games, always get over 8 hours. Are you on drug?
You said that the 6s gets better battery life than a 6s Plus. I don't think I've ever seen anyone claim that before, Apple's numbers don't suggest that the case, and the GeekBench battery benchmark didn't show that. So what do you have to back up that statement?
You also said that ALL 6s TMSC get more than 8 hours of battery life. It doesn't even get that in the GB battery benchmark, usually. And your friend is using a 6s PLUS, which has an extended battery life compared to the 6s (which also has a TMSC chip). So to say that ALL TMSC get more than 8 hours battery is foolish. IMHO.

Did Apple even use benchmark to tell you Apple claims Samsung and TMSC chips battery life is few % different? Who cares about benchmark? Benchmark shows Samsung chip is horrible comparing to TMSC, do you beieve that? Benchmark score is not even close, so benchmark proves Samsung chip is not even acceptable? Did Apple even show you any data? You are using an Apple phone and Apple shows you it doesn't need to show you any data, any test, just tell you their test shows it is similar. Apple even told you there were just few people in the world reported Iphone 6 had bend problem. How do you explain this? If you cannot then TMSC chip must be better because you cannot show what Apple said is true anyway and you are not using what Apple's way to show stuff.
Given the standard of recent wittering from the pro-gate lobby, I think it's fair to say this nonsense has run its course. See you next year!
Have the Samsung CPU no I won't be returning it. The phone is great and having no issues. My battery life is as good or better than the 6+ it replaced so it's a non-issue to me.
"My battery life is as good or better than the 6+ it replaced" is just your guess, you fail into Apple mental trap.
