Me after I just checked & found out I got a TSMC on first try:

I'm more worried about how many people are having issues with the home button or screen. I don't know what chip mine has, I almost don't want to know, but my first unit had a sticky home button and I exchanged it.

I think I'd prefer the TSMC chip imo. Found samsung variants from my few days of "testing" before returning to overheat very quickly even with little to minor use. Which irritates me because I love going naked phone. And addding a case would make that situation worse.

I have a Samsung chip and I am blown away at how amazing the battery performance is. I come home from work and have 65% still left.

The chip issue is nonexistent for me. Some of you will find problems in anything...

Wow, Apple is using only Samsung A9 from now on?!

Ehhhh that seems unlikely. From everything I've read, neither Samsung nor TSMC has the capacbility to meet Apple's chip volume requirements by themselves, thus the dual sourcing. It also would not be the first time Apple customer service has spread erroneous information. I'm not saying it's definitely wrong, just that it seems unlikely that an Apple customer service rep would have that information.

That's good. I had both, the TSMC was much better returned the Samsung.

Well my fourth 6S+ has the best battery life of all my phones, and I've only done one charge cycle so I expect it to improve further!
It's a Samsung too...

1st Samsung - great battery life
2nd TSMC - great battery life
3rd Samsung - dreadful battery life
4th Samsung - stupendous battery life

Neither could supply enough for launch, but that doesn't mean to say Samsung couldn't supply enough going forward now that the initial rush is ramping down. Given that we know Samsung are charging less, this seems credible to me - plus it's in Apple's interest to shut down this idea, encouraged by threads like these, that Samsung chip owners should continually return their phones "just because".

The best way of calling a halt to this madness and not having it drag on throughout the 6S lifecycle is simply to delete TSMC from the equation. Especially knowing damn well that there's nothing wrong with the Samsung chip.

Wrong, just plain wrong. The guy in the video is wrong. It wasn't just the first batch.

My 6SPLUS was made in OCTOBER and it has a TSMC A9 which is nice. Phone is nice and runs cool. Battery life fuggetabout it.

I went to bed with my 6S battery showing 71% last night. In seven years of owning iPhones this is legitimately the first iPhone I could conceivably use for two days straight, with my normal use, without charging. It runs cool and it's been fast and reliable since launch day,

Samsung chip.

The difference is minimal between the two but apparently there is a tiny difference. Not huge. Won't lose sleep over a chip. In the end...who cares. Just enjoy your hard-earned money's worth, TSMC or Samsung. A salut!

The more I read about this, the more I'm convinced that it's much ado about nothing.
Having gone with the tried and true older iPhone6 with the TSMC chip,i can't compare it to a new iPhone 6s with the Samsung chip. But i agree it's really a non issue.
If people don't trust Apple, get another brand phone and move on in their lives.

Apple claimed only few people in the world reported bendgate problem last year, do you believe that too?

Anyone who sits on their phone or tries bending it,get what they get a bent phone.
Many people do really stupid things to their phones, i care less what they have reported about their bent phones.
Same go's for what they report in regards to this battery and chip item.

How about this and all my analysis, especially my calculation for the true 6s+ plus battery burn ratio at the end?
