LOL XD, samsung chip user was so happy, why do you destroy it:D
I had a Samsung Galaxy III Android phone, and it was a good phone lots of things i like much better in it's use, then my Apple iPhone6. But my carrier Virgin Mobil had a weak signal caused me to not have a phone many times.
I just switched carriers and picked Apple for my new phone. My Apple iPhone6 works great on new carriers net, just some items Apple forces one to do i don't like.

J2ee lost whatever shred of credibility he had when he stated that the 6+'s have less battery time than the smaller 6's, when in fact, regardless of which chip, the + models have, and always will have, superior battery life, despite the larger screens.

Oh god. I have a request for Macrumours: all users must pass an IQ test and theory test on Apple before you can register.

For somone like you who said the logic board of A9 Samsung version is the same as TSMC version. You said "Your lack of knowledge on semiconductors and how they're manufactured is humorous.", and you proved yourself fits this description very well.

Samsung chip iPhone 6s+, just got 17 hours of usage with streaming, browsing and games. I can go 2 days w/o charging if I wanted so I'm happy.

Am using a 64gb iPhone 6s Plus for close to 20 days now..getting close to 9+ hours of usage every time and I charge once in 2 days . When i say 9+ hours of usage it's based on mixed usage of mail apps, Safari, messaging, games, photos, YouTube videos etc (in order of usage).. Happy that I just need to charge the phone once in 2 days..

One thing I have learnt is that the juice you get out of your device depends a lot on what you had been using it for... Videos, photos, games and video calls obviously will consume much more battery life as compared to simply browsing and texting the whole day.. Maybe in real world, tsmc phones run 30 mins to an hour more than the Samsung ones but end of the day it won't matter to people who just want get home by Eod with around 20% battery remaining atleast as both chips will guarantee that...

So in real world, there is negligible difference between both the chips for a normal iPhone user. Period. Which means, just enjoy your iPhone folks and stop worrying about what chip it uses and how many minutes more did it run on a given day compared to previous day...

people interested in so much of specifics don't have much else to do in a given day I guess.. Advice to them - just relax and take a chill pill ;)

Oh c'mon! Where's the fun in that?

I'd much rather complain like crazy on macrumors and get mad / debate about it :p

The big winner of chip gate: TSMC.
Before chip gate, no one knew who TSMC was. Is it a standard, a new tech acronym? Oh it's a company. What do they do? Now everyone knows.

And it's good publicity, because the TSMC chip, if not superior, is at least the equal of the Samsung chip. That's the consensus. That's pretty good press for free.

TSMC has always been a well known foundry... Go on a semiconductor forum or a PC hardware forum.

Only now a niche portion of the population that would not know what/when/where/why/who TSMC is, now do because of this stupid debacle.

TSMC doesn't need any press and plenty of people have known who they are since the 80's. My GTX 980 Ti in my gaming PC says hello. Smh.

Most people have only heard of Intel and AMD when it comes to processors, and Qualcomm if they're up on mobile phone specs. Although Samsung are a household name, few people will be aware that they make processors. As for TSMC....

I was talking about your average man or woman on the street, not tech heads. Plenty would be hard pressed to think of anything other than Intel.

I don't think they care about your average person. The average person isn't using foundry services.

I kept laughing because cbrand493 was completely wrong and he never replied about how he was so wrong after I pointed that out ha ha

If you pin me your location I will use the Maps App on my iPhone to locate the nearest bridge for you to either hide under or jump off, which ever you prefer. :p
