Now I don't feel so bad creating a Samsung vs TSMC thread anymore.

Back on topic, there should be a game where someone tries to guess whether the iPhone in front of them has a Samsung or TSMC chip. That'd prove how noticeable, if it is even, the difference of the two chips are.

How can you tell which chip you have?
Are you returning your Samsung to get a TSMC?
Which chip do you have?

So many questions. We need some threads.

I want an Intel. Might take mine back and keep swapping until I get at least an i3.

I know I didn't return in an attempt to get the different chip, it just seemed like the + would give me the extra battery I wanted.. and it is. Sorry for starting a redundant thread, feel free to delete or merge. I guess it's all semantics and my point is a bit tedious. I thought it might spark some discussion about the battery being the real problem, but so far it's mostly immature replies.

I can't believe that Apple allows for unlimited returns. Best Buy and Amazon will blacklist you after a certain amount of returns (whatever they deem excessive).

If Apple allows it that's on them. I bet they have a "OCD" budget just for this purpose. I can understand dead pixels, bad display or even nicks/scuffs on the body. But this takes it to a new level. No wonder Apple is pulling such apps from the app store. They don't want a bunch of crazed lunatics cherry picking TSMC chips. But ultimately Apple will still make money by flipping them as warranty exchanges, selling them to businesses or reselling them on eBay.
Just look at any battery test for the iPhone 6 from last year. The results are going to be different due to many variables. There is always a +/- tolerance for such devices.

People need to get a life, I've never seen so much OCD, whining, crying over a dam phone. It's no wonder society is going to crap. It's amazing some folks manage to make it from day to day. I would be embarrassed to tell my friends or coworkers that I have to run to the Apple store to exchange my phone because it has a particular chip installed. You can come on these forms and brag and whine all you want but outside the forums people would look at you like you're crazy. It's bad enough technology is turning us into what some are today.

There are people that work hard and have paid a lot of money (proportional) for their new iPhone, so they have all the right to 'whine' about their phone not having the best performance / battery life / or having heating problems or whatever. It has nothing to do about where society is going. If you're someone who has an above average love / interest in technology, you want the best of the best that's available. And now you have the same model where there are differences between the TMSC and Samusng chip, so that's reason enough to make a deal about it and complain about it to Apple. No matter what the people outside forums will think about it. People are different. The one gets pleasure in buying the most fancy shoes and pay top dollar for it, and the other will think that's just a waste of money. To each their own. People have all the right to complain in this case.

Can anyone tell me if this means I have the Samsung chip or TSMC chip? Thanks

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. It's the TSMC chip. :)

Yes let's return them all. This is an outrage. How dare someone with the Samsung chip get 5 minutes better battery life than man. I'm mad.

Why not replace the 6S (whether is has a TSMC or Samsung chip or not) for the Galaxy S6? The S6 is the better phone of the two. Like seriously. I had the 6 until a couple of days ago and sold it for the S6. Never been happier with a phone!

The 6 and 6S have cameras that are pathetic in low / medium light, doesn't come close to the S6. They're comparable at speed and fluidity, you get a much better display with much higher resolution on the Galaxy, you have OIS on the S6 which the 6S lacks, you get 16GB on the base model which costs hundreds of dollars more than the 32GB Galaxy S6. All because of Apple wanting to milk out as much as money as possible from their customers, so they're cheaping out on stuff to produce it. Also you don't have to deal with iTunes for transferring songs. You can even play YouTube videos and send Whatsapp messages at the same time on the S6, or multitask with other apps like browser or email etc. at the same time with Multi Window. What's nice too is that the S6 has adaptive fast charging, which means you can charge your phone from 0 to 100% in one hour. ONE HOUR guys!

Now that I left Apple I understand how strong the brand name is of Apple. They can give their customers the feeling that they're having the superior product, while in reality it's quite the opposite of that.
I replaced my S6 Edge with a iPhone 6s Plus and I'm very glad I did. The S6 was fast at first but like alot of Android phones it eventually started to lag and freeze up. The battery life is also terrible. Glad I got rid of that crap phone.

But it charges twice as fast. HAHA

You have made my point. You're talking about a phone like it was true love. Your funny when you put love, passion and technology in the same paragraphs. One loves another person, not a gadget. One uses technology to make life easier but to each his own, LOL. Funny how last weeks review show the Samsung chip faster and everybody wanted to exchange the TMCS chip phone. Than this week someone else posted another video talking about the batteries. What will it be next week? Every week it's something different. People are so gullible. If your phone performs without any problems than be happy with it. MacRumors has you guys jumping through hoops.

Has or does anyone plan on returning your Samsung chip iPhone 6S/Plus?
For most of us, the 14 day return limit is tomorrow (Friday).

Apple has absolutely no way of telling which phones with the Samsung chip are in what box. If you exchange a phone you have a 50/50 chance of getting another Samsung chip'd phone.

I think Apple should start blacklisting these folks on this thread. I can't believe some of the ridiculous stuff I'm reading. One person said they would keep exchanging it until they got a TSMC unit.

Apple's policy is too kind and lenient.
