A bigger challenge beckons: finding someone to play Wozniak. His looks are one-of-a-kind, as is his genius

No, he is just ugly. I see plenty of people all around the world looking like a big fat pixie.

It will still be crap as it's a film and as such will be fake and false, it will never match the SENNA film because of this no matter what Hollywood tries to do with it!

This is unfortunately true of any and every movie. They're all based on biased perceptions interpreted by the uber-prejudiced greed of screenwriters, directors, and producers. The similarity in appearance may be the only similarity presented. The sole purpose of this film will be to make money, not to provide viewers with any accurate insight on the real Steve Jobs.

Working Title will be "Dude, Where's my iPad?"

Dude. Sweet.

Kutcher has been playing Jobs all along on 2.5Dudes2.0, right down to the bare feet and the private plane. And much, much more… if you can stand to watch.

Consider Daniel Day-Lewis of There Will Be Blood. A rather tragic tale of a smart but power-hungry capitalist who scorned the people around him to end up in isolation in his ivory mansion.

In addition to this movie, I want to see the movie of "Pirates of Silicon Valley 2 The Wrath of Jobs". That movie needs a sequel to tell the entire story.

The key word being "story":
1. a narrative, in prose or verse, designed to interest, amuse, or instruct
the hearer or reader; tale.
2. a fictitious tale, shorter and less elaborate than a novel.

Looks like everyone is trying to $$$ on Jobs death.

Ashton Kutcher = Please no.... I like Steve Jobs. I used to like 2 and a half men!!!! nuff said.

I don't really care for him as an actor. I think his 'performance' in "Dude Where's My Car?" will always be what I remember when I think of him as an actor.

Either way I'm willing to give him a chance on this, his visual likeness to Jobs is hard to ignore and could help the film. However I'm happy he's not playing the role for Sony's picture, which I have high hopes for including Noah Wyle in. :)

Any film that produces the illusion of motion is a movie.

Documentary is a sub-genre.

Haha classic.

Ditto

Well .. obviously twins from different mom .. and dad :D

But Ashton need to be thinned out a bit for the role, maybe 2 3 months diet would help. Ashton's jaw .. is just a bit too big. Maybe Steve's eyes is a bit bigger, but a good makeup artist can handle it. Other than that, they're perfectly twin.

He could just eat Apples. :apple:

I know it's mentioned in the article, but seriously... it's the same story as Pirates of Silicon Valley?? There's a great opportunity here to tell a bigger story that hasn't already been filmed over a decade ago.

I like him. I think this will be a great role for Ashton. I could be proven wrong, but I feel like he has a real opportunity for a break-out performance. He could use this role to really surprise people. Good luck, Ashton!

I have to admit, I'm sold on this. Sure, Kutcher has been in numerous dumbass roles, but he's a capable actor when the role calls for it, and if he really is putting everything into this, it could be very interesting to see. However, Jobs' career spanned decades, and if they're able to tie it all together into a feature length film remains to be seen.

One thing's for sure, though: even if Kutcher plays the part of his life, and the movie is compelling, some people here will still be unhappy.

It will work for the 70s and 80s Steve. Not sure sure about the 90s and beyond.

edward norton would be much better for this role and is and A list actor.. but they want kucther for the cool hip factor im guessing to bad

Let's pick up some douchebag who can't act to play Steve Jobs because he resembles an old photo of him. I'm sure his experience in the extremely idiotic Two and a Half Men and the equally painful No String Attached will really lend to a faithful portrayal of Jobs.

Reminds me of the people who thought Johnny Depp should play the Riddler in the new Batman because his costume and appearance in Willy Wonka vaguely resembled the Riddler. No regard for whether or not Depp was right for the part, or that the character was good for the story. Let's just cast people purely on the basis that they looks like other people.

Didn't people say the same thing about Keanu Reeves right before the Matrix came out?

I think it could work out just fine. The opinion of the public pre-release isn't very interesting though. Wouldn't be the first time people said something would be ****, and turned out to be great. I don't get why people just have to be so negative instead of trying to see the possibilities (and also trying to check their own biases instead of posing opinion as truth).
