Make sure you get the shading on her upper lip right.
Good Napoleon reference.

This thread has really boosted my confidence to asking her (I'm really a chicken when it comes to this). Thanks a bunch guys.

Here's a lits of things not to do...

SMS
MSN
E-mail
over the phone
Through a friend

Things that can work
An invite card sent via mail (hand written)
Asking in person (Don't be shy, the approh I used. Look her in the eyes and be confident.)

Jordan

Walk up to her..... whip out some mouth spray... spray.....then say... "baby what does 2 bodies, lots of music, and steamy situations equal? You, Me, and the prom baby!!"

Thrust a few times.

That should do.... well something. ;)

I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions for something cool to do.

I like your avatar. Can I steal it?
Hey, Lacero, that's a terrible suggestion for how to ask for a prom date! ;)

When are you going to ask, AliensAreFuzzy? Here's another idea for your list: Make her a written invitation that looks very formal, e.g., "Dear Susie Derkin, You are cordially invited to be my date for the prom, May 32, 2005. Sincerely, Fuzzy". Walk up to her with a big smile, look her in the eyes, hand it to her, and wait patiently.

If she says ok and then rushes off to call her girlfriend, you did it correctly.

Conversly, she slaps you

Honestly though you have very little to lose, and being direct never got anybody in trouble when asking a girl to the senior dance.

Hell you could even invite her out to dinner if your that keen.

Bloody hell....

Just do the direct thing, for chrissakes! Save all the schmaltz for the NEXT date (if you don't blow it, that is...)

After all - it's all in good fun! Chalk it up to Brownie points.

:D

no cake, no card, no flowers, just ask, talk to her and after a while, just ask the **** question... keep the cake, card and/or flower for the next date, as already posted, if you don't blow this one... Good luck Casanova...

Just ask her. Time and tide....

A brief story...

Picture it, Maryland, 1991.
There was this girl who seemed perfect to me. 6' with long straight black hair down to her bottom. A bit on the "sturdy" but fat means. Voice like an angel and a wonderful sense of humor. She was also a geek. Half asian half caucasian.

She was dating someone else.
I asked someone a different person to the prom.
She became available. #*$#
My date spent the prom with another guy.
My dream girl came with a guy she met on the internet...
I spent a lot of time with the date of the guy who was with my date. She was cute enough, but barely spoke English.

Ask this girl. Tell her she is wonderful. Tell her that she is aphrodite herself and ask if she would honor you by attending the prom.

save the serious creativity until after the link has been established - don't waste the good stuff on 'catching the fish' save it for 'cooking the fish' ;) because if the fish gets away it is a waste t ohave used it, unless you are perfecting something, but experiences should be unique and special so there is merit to the desire to 'do something different'.
Bottom line is be yourself and she will either accept you for who you are or not - don't pretend to be something you are not.

Hope she accepts and you have a good time.

Wow, thanks for all the advice guys. I'm going to get some advice from some other girls that know her. Maybe get an idea from them. I'll let you guys know how this all pans out.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO, worst mistake EVERRRRR, dont take advice from her friends, if you dont believe me, did any one ever see the MTV "Made" Episode where the kid wanted to learn how to dance salsa because he wanted to impress some girl, so then he asked her "best friend" about the things she like and WOW, she lied to him HARD CORE. told him she liked pasta but in reality when he went to cook her some pasta she was really allergic to it. poor kid and he didn't even end up with her.

you could get on your knees and beg endlessly till you start crying! If she starts to walk off, grab her by an ankle and make her drag you around for awhile.

Rent the movie, Can't buy me love , and get some ideas. Guy pays hot chick to go to prom with him and makes him instantly cool, for a few weeks anyway.

PS I'm spending sunday night in Appleton, putting our plane in maintenance at Gulfstream there. Did you ever get apple to put something in appleton? Seriously just be yourself with the girls, be confident and let it ride.

Just ask her!

"Hey, (insert name here) would you like to go to Prom with me?"

Easy as that! If she says yes, then you can go all out with the romantic stuff on that night. Don't waste your time or hers if she has other plans or isn't interested in going. Find out first, then think about how to make that night super special for her. Honestly, just use the line above or something similar.

No, Apple still hasn't put anything here :(
Have fun though.

That's MTV, they're there to do stuff like that. These girls are also my friends and have been for several years. I trust them.
