OK, but I doubt Apple customer service would lie about it. They just found out themselves earlier today.

My only issue with that is that customer service said that last year. They have also said it comes with "the latest RAM" or in other cases "no RAM just our A9 chip". So you'll forgive me if I don't trust people simply reading off Apple's own website most of the time.

Everyone keeps saying we'll find out about RAM amount with a teardown. Are they going to open the A9 and count RAM? A geek bench run would answer the question.

My thoughts exactly. Same promise pre launch from Apple CS. Only to have hopes deflated after official tear down by fixit. But do agree with the majority here hat if the RAM is upped to 2gb it will be on both phones.

This year Apple significantly upgraded RAM for iPhone 6s, iPad Pro and Apple TV, and many reports can confirm these details well ahead of future teardown jobs.

DON’T MISS: iPhone 6s: The 9 best new features

2GB of RAM

That’s how much the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and Apple TV 4th-generation are getting this year.

Apple confirmed to MobileSyrup during hands-on with the iPhone 6s models that both devices come with 2GB of RAM on board, just as rumors suggested. Comparatively, the iPhone 6 series only has 1GB of RAM across the board.

Apple TV documentation, meanwhile, tells developers looking to create content for the new set-top box that the device has 2GB of RAM, 9to5Mac reports.

They've been giving mixed responses since the announcement, so maybe they have been given the info to stop all the mixed messages. I asked 3 separate times, got 2 "Apple doesn't release RAM specifics", and 1 "The iPhone 6S doesn't have any RAM but a powerful A9 processor".

Doesn't have any Ram!?....hahahahahahhahah. oh man must of been a rookie

My mom's 6+ and my 6 reloads while browsing Safari, Facebook app, Instagram, etc.,. Her Plus does it more often than mine... Will 2GB resolve this issue?

It's simple, if it doesn't have 2GB ram, I am returning it. Not paying $1200 CAD on a phone that cannot hold 2 apps in suspended state without refreshing.

Or someone can just open up tons of apps and web pages in safari to gauge how much ram there is!

I have an inclination that the 6S+ will come with the 2GB Ram and the 6S will stay with 1GB

Anyone else think this may happen with the phones?

I'm not too sure but aren't people with a Plus able to Multitask and people with a 6 not

Nope.
