An iPhone with a 5 foot 8 inch display is just too big to carry around.
If you think your iPhone 10 was heavy, try picking up an iPhone with a 5 foot 8 inch display.

I wonder if the mini will have much more adoption rate this year since they bumped the battery so much? I had the mini and loved the size, but the battery was hard to overlook. Gave it to my daughter as her first phone and she’s been happy.

Maybe there will be a iphone 14 mini, and this is the model that stays on 60 hz. We can dream right?
Enough about the iPhone 14. Where are the rumors for the SE/SE Plus? 2021 is ending soon, and early 2022 should be the time for some refresh on the SE.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. 2-3 years just on Pro, same as they did the iPad would be my guess.
I’d much rather have a VRR 120 hz display over a fixed 120 hz display. Less stuttering and screen tearing that way.
No, not many Android phones have LTPO panels. Samsung just put it for their highest end phones.
The other Android are using less efficient tech with non variable rate panels (only fixed rates switching by software), and many uses IPS, not OLED.

Given that the 13 just went up for pre-order today, can we at least have a 3 month pause on iPhone 14 rumors? This is so speculative and getting out of hand 😂

Why would you want a constant 120Hz rate? It will only drain the battery for nothing. Variable rates are optimal, giving high refresh rate when you actually need it automatically, and save battery when you don’t need it.
It would be neat collecting iPhones with master numbers (11, 22, 33, etc)

Apple's fortunate that majority of iPhone users are completely ignorant about the state of tech on Android side of things. These 120hz displays were launched in 2019 and now even $200 devices have them.
There are rumors that Apple will use Titanium, so they should be lighter.

That’s such a bad take lol. You can argue that they’re late to the game, or that it sucks the feature is limited to the pro model, but spinning the strength of the implementation compared to other phones into a weakness is a new one for me. This will save tremendous amount of battery. whats better? Reading immobile text and having the screen refresh 10 times a second or 60 times/120 times for no reason?

So if iPhone 13 does not have Pro Motion, is there anything at all new from iPhone 12?? The battery life. Anything else?
I want a real small Phone back like my much loved iPhone4.
They do but these screens aren't OLED or when they are, the 120hz comes with limitations, lower resolution, lower brightness and of course terrible battery life. I do think Apple should bring the standard phones to 90hz and we should already be talking about 144hz not 120 on the pro.
