This is probably a mistake on AT&T's part. When they discover it, they'll probably plug the hole that lets you sign up more than once.

What happens to the people who bought 50? Anybody's guess. AT&T might honor it because it was their mistake. Or they might refund your money and cut off your service after the 7 days / 1 GB is used up.

Or they could by dicks, and make it so the excess purchases kick in all at the same time - so if you signed up 50 times, you'll have 50 GB to use in the next 7 days. According to the user agreement you agreed to at signup, they would still technically be upholding their end of the bargain ($0.99 for 7 days OR 1 GB, whichever comes first - I don't think it says anything about additional purchases being sequential). I grabbed 5 - worst case, I wasted $5; if they do kick in sequentially, I'll try to buy more in a few weeks if they haven't plugged the hole by then.

You guys are great. I hope AT&T honors your purchases. Data is so expensive it is a big ripoff. $1 for 1 GB is more honest and I bet is still a big profit for AT&T. Had a flashback to the guy at the Post Office a few years back who bought 1000 Forever Stamps just before the rate was to rise.

I believe they just run one plan after the other as they expire or 1gb is used, this is what my email says.

plan will become active on the end of your last Domestic plan Eastern Time.

Maintenance, happens several times a week.

It's true, it wasn't working for me but I waited for a while and now it's working.

Getting a package of data tonight for the first time ever.

Thank you so much

God blesses you :apple:

They actually do explicitly state that the plans would be sequential:

"When your current plan expires, you will start with the 1GB of data for 7 days domestic data plan"

Although in their TOS they say you can only future date ONE data session:

"Future Dating Limitation for Session-Based Plans: So long as you do not already have an active domestic Session-Based Plan, you may future date one domestic Session-Based Plan. So long as you do not already have an active international Session-Based Plan, you may future date one international Session-Based Plan. If you purchase multiple domestic (or in the case of international-international) Session-Based Plans, and if you future date a domestic (or in the case of international-international) Session-Based Plan, then the remaining domestic (or in the case of international-international) Plans will begin sequentially when the future-dated Plan expires or the allotted data is consumed. "

And also only within one year:

"Future dated plans must commence within 365 days of purchase"

Of course all this applies to the 30 day plans, but it IS the TOS they push on you when purchasing the 7 day plan.

Is the page back up? Is the deal still on?

The page was never down for me, and yes, I still have the option to select this plan as seen in my screen shot here. So far I am up to 40 and will select 12 more once I'm sure AT&T will add the next one on for me after tomorrow.

Correct. This is what my email states as well. It also states this on my iPad online account.

And here is a perfect example of the guy that ruins it for everyone.

You're kidding right?

I would like to know how I ruined it for "everyone", when the plan continues to be available for me to select. If I was only allowed to have it once, I'm sure AT&T would have removed it as an option after the first time I selected it......

Please post back soon as you know if it rolls over to the next 7 day plan. I'm with you on this, as long as it will let me add the plan I will keep adding providing the plans are actually rolling over.

I feel like a child a Christmas! I haven't bought data for my iPad in about a year as I only buy it when I travel in the summer! I think I last paid $25 for 2 GB for 30 days but with Netflix and Hulu it will go fast!

$.99 for a GB is AMAZING!

Keep us updated on how purchasing large amounts goes!

For all those who were wondering if the 1GB plan would roll over to the next plan, here is proof that it does. My first plan expired this evening and the new plan kicked right in. After finding this out, I just added about 14 more which gives me over a years worth of data for as little as $55. I'm glad I went with the AT&T iPad Mini....

Thanks for the update! Exactly what I was wanting to hear!

Nice! I am now up to six months. Your reply was all I was waiting for.

I'm up to 6 months as well. I've been buying 8 of the packages a day as I'm worried about my credit card being flagged for fraud if I tried to buy a years worth at one go round.

I'm not entirely sure that because your plan rolled over this time that it will continue to do so. Remember, the promotion is still available so you could buy a new 99 cent plan anyway. There is no reason why AT&T would prevent you from having it again.

I think the real test will come when AT&T discontinues the promotion--then we'll see if the pre-purchased 99 cent plans continue to roll. Of course, everyone has to place their bets first. ;)

My finger hurts lol. I feel like a total hack. I use an iPad sim in an iPhone 5 to get basically unlimited text & mins and enough data and not only that, now data is $4 a month lmfao. Correction $3.96 a month, tax included lol

Oh and:

Not so lucky to see those kind of speeds since I'm actually using a verizon ipad 3 with AT&T. I'm averaging around 6-8Mbps DL and around 2Mbps upload. It does the job though, so for the price I'm not complaining one bit!

wait verizon ipad on att so you don't actually get LTE then right? Just 4g. a..tt actually kicks me off LTE ever time I restart my iphone but i get back on by changing some settings so I try not to restart my iPhone. But when on 4g i usually get about what you get 6-10down and about 1.5up

PS above speeds I only get at my house cuz I am like almost under an LTE antenna so the "Signal 2" app says.
