Oh have you tired the hacked a..tt carried update? if you do do a before an after test in the same location

THIS. This is one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to pre-pay data.

I should be able to buy, say, 4GB, and use it at whatever rate I wish. When it runs out, then I can buy another 4GB. Without being forced to use it all within a month.

Maybe impose some REASONABLE time limit, so that unused accounts don't sit around forever. Like two years.

I only use cellular data on my ipad when traveling (I tether to my phone at the moment) so any plan that involves my paying monthly is a lousy deal.

So, are you saying to use the AT&T hacked carrier update on a verizon ipad? Would that have any effect if I chose to actually use verizon one day!

I'm up to 69 weeks. I lost track after 45 and kept going. Hopefully this all works out. And I was about to purchase the $50 5gb package!
 
Does anyone know how it works if you use up the 1 gig in less than 7 days? Does it just start up the next pre-paid 1 week? I'm up to 52 weeks bought. My only glitch was my credit card's fraud alert wanting me to call them after about 35 $.99 purchases in a few hours :)

Yes, the next one starts when the previous one runs out.

AT&T does this. T-Mobile will allow you to purchase another data plan when the old one runs out but it's not automatic like what you can with AT&T.
 
I haven't had the need for cellular on my iPad 2 for well over a year, but a deal like this is too good to pass up so I just purchased a few months worth.
 
My plan just ended. The plan does not auto-renew, but I was allowed to sign up for another 7 days at .99 cents.

So did you have a bunch of 99cent ones stacked up like i do and they didn't just continued on by it self?

I believe the instructions said the plan wouldn't auto renew, but others have reported that if you manually purchase additional 99 cent plans they will roll. If you want another you can just go ahead and buy one now.

I'm curious to see if AT&T shuts it down entirely (cancelling stacked plans) once the promotion ends and the plan isn't available.

When I signed up, the email did NOT say it wouldn't auto-renew. I might sign up for a few more because I left my 2GB for 25 dollar plan for this.

Oh ok thats fine. I didn't actually think it auto renewed anyways as it says one per costumer, but that's when the glitch comes in of being able to buy it more then once

The offer seems to be gone today. I saw it in my account settings yesterday, but it doesn't show up this morning.

Crazy what just went on in this thread lol. If AT&T would go this route, I will absolutely buy a LTE Mini 2 this fall.

A preview (from At&t) of what's to come this Fall ?! Would be nicccceee.....
 
I bought 10 weeks yesterday and have 5 more pending on my CC from yesterday also. Too bad it's gone.
 
Purchased about 70 weeks, off and on over the past few days... Is the account transferable to another iPad (if the need ever arises)?
 
70 weeks? That is crazy , lol. Yes, it is transferable from one AT&T iPad to another.

The amount spent on 15 months would have only purchased me three months a couple of weeks ago.

It's nice not to have to depend on WIFI for awhile- makes using an iPad more enjoyable.
 
Really sad that I wasn't smart enough to purchase a bunch of them, let them stack up. I only bought one, ran out in 2 days and this morning the plan was gone. Ughhh
