My credit card $1 authorization went through at 3:05AM EST (5 minutes after the preorders launched.

Shipping 11/09-11/27.

Going to cancel my preorder and switch to Verizon (since my contract's up...), wait in line like a schlub on Friday, unless AT&T sort this out.

This schlub stood in line twice and got the phone he wanted both times... Waiting on line takes a few hours a day at the most, sure there's panic and anxiety but it seems ordering online only increases the hours and days of panic and anxiety.

Anything can be considered fraudulent. It's how much you spend during odd hours is what will flag the purchase.

My job used to involve heavy travel when I bought my first iphone on a contract at Radioshack. I used my chase debit card in 7 or 8 states in a week with no problem, the next week the same debit card was declined when I tried to buy a cup of coffee on the way into the office. I called and purchasing my iphone at Radioshack where I had to show my drivers license, give my SS#, have a credit check, etc was considered suspicious. I get it, but the fact that using my card in 8 different states in a week didn't set off any alarms while a purchase I had to show ID for makes my head explode.

This is so maddening. AT&T is horrible at this stuff.

AT&T is horrible with this! I know that people feel bad for the CSR's taking the brunt of the crap for it, I do too but they should be mad at the company they work for being constantly in this boat. To tell you the truth if I were a CSR I would schedule my vacation the week of the Apple are launch... lol

The same crap seems to happen every year but they never do anything to fix the problem...

No offense to anyone here, but that really makes me mad that people will be getting their phone before me. I ordered at 1:57(central, so 11:57 PST) and I got the email at 9am saying 35-42 days!! This is the exact opposite of first come first served.... iPhone 6 plus space grey 128gb, by the way..

I hear ya... I'm in the same boat, I ordered early, not sure the exact time but it had to have been before 3:20est... and my ship date is 10/31 - 11/11, others have ordered after me and have an earlier ship date. I was specifically told by an AT&T rep on the day before that you MUST order 12:01amPST or later, yet others were allowed to order before that...

I ordered a 6+ at 3:06 EDT and I STILL got the 14-21 business day (October 13-22) delivery with AT&T. Completely defeats the purpose of a pre-order..... I'm quite disturbed. I'm not even excited anymore.

That's what I first got then the ship date moved to 10/31-11/11...

I canceled my 6 Plus because the shipping date was mid November. I'm not waiting that long. I ended up ordering the Space Gray 6, 64GB. Will be here the 19th.

Through Apple?

I am tempted to hit the cancel button and order from apple. How long will it take to get the upgrade eligibility back?

The rep I talked to yesterday said as soon as the order is cancelled the upgrade eligibility instantly goes back.... He said he cancelled the person who called before me and the process took all of 5 minutes.

----------

I ordered the 128 space grey 6+, damn my love for space grey!

I remember rumors saying the "bigger" phone would be available a month later... This is looking widely true for both, Apple should've had pre orders for the 6 on Sept. 12th with a Sept. 19th release and 6 Plus pre orders for 10/10 with a 10/17 release...

Another thing out of fairness anything planned to go to a store with massive backorders should be pulled and sent to people who pre ordered...

I've gotten the text twice once yesterday and once a little while ago. I'm taking it as a sign that I will get it on Friday.
Is that the general feeling of those that have gotten the text? Especially two times.
I got the text twice as well! What does your shipping say?

Here's my status so far...looks like it may ship for launch? *hopeful thoughts*

Guy's I hate to burst your bubble put everyone gets the text. I ordered it within 15 mins of pre-ordering started and only got the text this morning (Saturday morning) at 9:15am and a duplicate text at 9:45am. BUT just like everyone's credit card being charged doesn't mean you are getting it day one. The text just means your ordered went through and your iPhone will ship once it is available. All it literally says is your order has been received and you will be notified once it ships. AT&T still has no idea how many 6+'s they will have by the time the shipping deadline on the 18th for delivery on the 19th. Everyday they will get more phones from Apple so I think we just have to wait it out for a few more days and hope that you have a good spot in the line. I'm on the fence because even ordering 15mins in is not great because AT&T started taking preorders at 11:45pst so really I as half hour late and that is massive amount of time in pre-order terms. I had no idea they would start early, really sucks for everyone else because usually it's timed to the second not 15 minutes early.

I sure hope so, but to be honest, I don't think so. I don't mean to put you down, because my shipping is the same and I got two messages, but really don't think we are getting them on launch for some reason. However I do think we will get them before the time that is listed, because that is just insane.

My plan is to go to Best early in the morning on the 19th and see if I can pick up the model I want and use the next plan crossover(for another line) then just cancel my preorder, unless my order changes to sometime in September or even early early October before the 19th.

Here's my status so far...looks like it may ship for launch? *hopeful thoughts*

Nope not necessarily, you are in the 3rd date range so there is a 50-50 chance of you getting it. Everyone even those with a end of November ship date says shipping pending. I also have that date range so I am also hoping for the best. I got to the thank you page at about 3:15am (12:15pst).

hahah ya I know that's why I put hopeful thoughts lol. I would love to have it on launch day but if it ships between the estimated dates then that works too because my contract ends 10/12. Att will credit me the difference and I'll still have a phone :)

Apparently your rich AND have a large family.

Bragging aside - had I known att wasn't going to charge me right away I would have ordered at 301 and likely had it on the 19th. Of course they didn't but I had to wait for my ****** bank to open so my deposited check would show up because I assumed they would.

I ended up with my order completed at 730 or so EST which all things considered should have been PLENTY early for a day 1 shipment. They know this crap is huge, I can't understand how they don't start production sooner.

I ended up buying it with it showing a 9/19 date. Email showing a 14-21 and then confirmation coming early this morning showing a November 9-27 or some insane crap like that.

Sorry but what is the point of pre ordering first day, first few hours of launch and then having to wait over 2 months to receive it?

I can likely walk into the local att and get one launch day and if not you can bet your rear I can find one locally loooooong before almost December!!

As a previous poster mentioned, people shouldn't be able to walk into the store and get them before pre orders are filled - PERIOD.

Totally miffed over the entire ordeal. I'll never pre order thru att (premiere due to discount from wife being a teacher) again. I was super super excited and now I might as well find a way to forget about it. Atleast their will be a jailbreak by then or soon thereafter right?

Sigh. Plus 128 black fwiw

Here is what I think will happen based on what I read, people with a ship date of for the iPhone 6+ through business Preimier:

10/13 - 10/22 - all ordered before or right around midnight and will get it day one
10/31 - 11/11 - half will get it day one (closer to midnight orders) and half will not and will get the second round (I ordered at 3:12 am and I am in this boat)
11/9-11/27 - will definitely not get it day one but will get the second batch.

It seems it means nothing that your credit card was charged because everybody's charged already so it doesn't necessarily mean you will get day one. I have a feeling the ship dates will be revised in the coming days as AT&T receives more iPhones into stock everyday. I wish they didn't start taking orders before midnight because I had no idea and was only prepared to order at midnight so even though I ordered only 12 minutes (maybe earlier if they really reserve your spot in line when you start the checkout process) and I am in the middle range. Please let me know if you guys agree but I think this post is pretty accurate as to what will happen. -Rob

I hope you're right. I ordered 145am central time and am showing a 10/2--10/13 ship date.

My preorder processing ship date is 10/02 - 10/13, and has been since the email immediately after my confirmation email. I also got a "order processed" text from AT&T a few minutes ago. I'm guessing that means mine is already in and shipping on day one. I placed my order at about 11:45 PST, 15 minutes before midnight. Site let me in early. 64GB, Space Gray 6+, likely the largest supply group, so I am pretty hopeful.

I'm in same exact boat. Ordered 15 min before they started pre ordering. 145am central time. Have 10/02 - 10/13. I think we have to be some of the first ones to pre order and definitely be in the first batch.

Edit to add earlier date range:
Here is what I think will happen based on what I read, people with a ship date of for the iPhone 6+ through business Preimier:

10/02 - 10/13 - The extremely limited amount of people who were lucky enough to order within the 15 minutes earlier (11:45pm PST) than pre-ordering was suppose to start. Will undoubtedly get it day one.

I had no idea they would start early, really sucks for everyone else because usually it's timed to the second not 15 minutes early.

This really aggravates me because a rep told me over the the phone on the 11th that pre-orders start at 12:01amPST and not a minute earlier because they are required to take pre-orders on the 12th NOT the 11th. I stayed up past 3amEST just topre-order, no other reason... That 15 minutes people were ordering I was literally watching a crap tv show and staring at the clock waiting for 3:01am...

At least send an email out instead of arbitrarily pushing up the pre-order time 16 minutes and maybe letting a few people in on it. How unfair

I'm just sitting back and waiting, using this as a learning experience, If I pre order again is certainly won't be with AT&T.

I've been loyal AT&T for a decade with no loyalty in return (except for thanking me for being loyal iphone customer when I call in, the bum on the street also thanks me when I give him dollar). This is really making think about changing carriers, maybe I can save money...

I still stand by this post from earlier. idk why people are freaking out when it seems none of these dates are even close. I was in a verizon store today so my gf could order her 6 and They had delivery dates for the 64gb 6+ as october tenth. So obviously supply is there and ATTs numbers are off so they have a buffer if something goes terribly wrong. I am one of the people with a 10/13-10/22 and Im really not sweating it.

I doubt there is anything to worry about. There have been people who ordered their iPhone 6+ and gotten the shipment date of 10/14 - 10/22 and already have their UPS information.
We all know AT&T uses UPS, if you have UPS myChoice, or Track by reference, some people have actually seen their iPhone information with a delivery date of 9/19.

I personally have not seen the info for my 6+ (10/14-10/22) nor my 6 (9/19) but there is hope! Don't rush to cancel preorders.

Not for me. With the iPhone 5 about 2 years ago it was FedEx.

I wish at&t used FedEx in my area. Apple uses FedEx and it arrives around 10 AM, UPS on the other hand gets here between 2-5 PM

My problem is FedEx refuses to drop things off (I am often not home during the hours they come), charges for scheduled delivery times that are only a window and are often late. So for them I often have the package delivered to the local store which is very annoying. It's not like they have a queue there just for pick-ups. No, you have to wait in line with everyone else because you know, multiple employees and one line. Ridiculous.

UPS is similar. I pay $40 yearly just so UPS can drop things off where I say to do so. At least I have never had to go to the store for any reason. FedEx does not offer a similar service.

USPS is free, but they also refuse to drop anything off without me making noise. And that all depends on if the mail carrier is the same one as normal and they are aware that is what you want. If not, they take it to the local post office which is absolutely awful in general, with the same problem as FedEx but times 10 in terms of wait time.

Seems we should all be fine. Anyone who ordered on the 12th will more than likely be getting their phones on time. Supposedly. If this is anything to go off of anyhow.
