ive been having constant cc issues. my ship date appears to have slipped because of it.
i called and went though the sytem and reentered the cc info. my cc fraud dept then called and said that att had chargerd me twice. one for $525 and one for $499. i then got another att email saying
Unfortunately, we're unable to process your credit card.
The explanation of orders dropping and needing to be reprocessed later may explain why my order was delayed. I completed my order around 12:10-12:15 and everything looked okay. I know I was finished because I was in bed before 12:30 so I could get some sleep before an early morning flight.
But my email confirmation from AT&T is timed at 4:41 Pacific. There were no issues with my account or credit card - so no reason for a 4-1/2 hour delay from when I completed my order to AT&T sending a confirmation. Everyone else seems to have received an email confirmation timed shortly after they placed their order.
What other explanation could there be for a 4-1/2 delay in order and confirmation?

Just got a call back from AT&T supervisor that I had requested Friday. He stated that there is a difference between the time the order is Placed and the time the order is Received. The time the order is received is what is used to set your priority and reserve the device. I placed my order at 3:11am EST and have screen shot to prove it but did not receive a confirmation until 5:22. He did confirm that the system processed some orders out of sequence and there is nothing they can do to correct. I am so frustrated at this point. If my order doesn't ship this week I will be canceling my order and closing my account since my last contract was fulfilled. Order was showing 10/31-11/11 but has since changed to 10/13-10/22
Me thinks this is some crazy theory of yours and you throw in a story about an AT&T rep confirming it for you to somehow give it some validity. Relax, take off the tinfoil hat, and enjoy your new phone when it arrives.

As I said twice, the rep said this to me... Please point out where I said the the rep confirmed it for me...?
I have asked you what makes the story silly and what makes me gullible for believing it... Instead of being helpful you've decided to attack me and my character by calling me a story teller. If you have anything useful to add I'd love to hear, if you're going to continue down the same road please save it.

Same thing, I ordered in the same time frame before 20 after for sure (if not sooner)... I say this because I emailed myself my order number at 3:22AMEST yet I got my confirmation email at 4:57amEST

Kind of pissed I ordered at 2:45am est and had the 10/2-10/13 shipping dates. I got my order email as soon as I placed it then confirmation email at 3:09am est. Today I looked and my shipping dates are now 10/13-10/22 although the order says last updated 9/12. I received my text yesterday that's said it was processed and awaiting shipping. Just find it dumb people are getting bumped back while others pushed ahead.
No one knows that for sure until shipments start getting confirmed.

Everything you just wrote is exactly the same for me including the order time, shipping rate change from 10/31-11/11 but has since changed to 10/13-10/22, order went through at 3:12am but the confirmation email came in at 4:43am so its as if I place the order at 4:43. That is not right at all, all they have to do is compare the order numbers and order place time to see the correct order. I KNEW the delayed email was a big problem. The 10/13-10/22 range is the third in order of date ranges with 9/18-9/19 being first, then 10/2 - 10/13 being second and being third 10/13 - 10/22 (my initial range which was updated from 10/31-11/11) That's really not fair, I am not getting my phone day one.

I have to agree. Plus the fact that the status shows as "preparing to ship". Why would it say that for an item that is 2,3,4 or more weeks out from shipping?
My gut tells me that everyone that has a date of 10/31 or earlier will be getting their phones on Friday.

This is exactly what happened to me. Hold put on cc. Released and called the automated line that prompted for cc# for reprocessing. I now have two charges $499.99 and the $542. I called and called and the nice lady said she only saw one pending charge on my name so I have no idea if they are both going through or what to do. Did you ever find out why we are charged twice?
