ive been having constant cc issues. my ship date appears to have slipped because of it.

i called and went though the sytem and reentered the cc info. my cc fraud dept then called and said that att had chargerd me twice. one for $525 and one for $499. i then got another att email saying

Unfortunately, we're unable to process your credit card.

This is exactly what happened to me. Hold put on cc. Released and called the automated line that prompted for cc# for reprocessing. I now have two charges $499.99 and the $542. I called and called and the nice lady said she only saw one pending charge on my name so I have no idea if they are both going through or what to do. Did you ever find out why we are charged twice?

The explanation of orders dropping and needing to be reprocessed later may explain why my order was delayed. I completed my order around 12:10-12:15 and everything looked okay. I know I was finished because I was in bed before 12:30 so I could get some sleep before an early morning flight.

But my email confirmation from AT&T is timed at 4:41 Pacific. There were no issues with my account or credit card - so no reason for a 4-1/2 hour delay from when I completed my order to AT&T sending a confirmation. Everyone else seems to have received an email confirmation timed shortly after they placed their order.

What other explanation could there be for a 4-1/2 delay in order and confirmation?

This is exactly my situation which also makes me think the att reps explanation may be legit. I didn't get my email confirmation until 5 hours later and I ordered between 3:10-3:15am EST and I am in the 10/13 - 10/21 boat. I would think I should be in the 10/2-10/13 bracket or really the 9/18-9/19 bracket. I had no credit card issues or any issues.

Just got a call back from AT&T supervisor that I had requested Friday. He stated that there is a difference between the time the order is Placed and the time the order is Received. The time the order is received is what is used to set your priority and reserve the device. I placed my order at 3:11am EST and have screen shot to prove it but did not receive a confirmation until 5:22. He did confirm that the system processed some orders out of sequence and there is nothing they can do to correct. I am so frustrated at this point. If my order doesn't ship this week I will be canceling my order and closing my account since my last contract was fulfilled. Order was showing 10/31-11/11 but has since changed to 10/13-10/22
 
Now i checked and mine says BackOrdered :mad::mad::mad::mad:

From what I remembered from previous launch dates, it's a good sign that it says back ordered. It'll have the status as back ordered right before it ships. Hopefully so! I'm still stuck with a shipping date of 10/2-13.

Everything you just wrote is exactly the same for me including the order time, shipping rate change from 10/31-11/11 but has since changed to 10/13-10/22, order went through at 3:12am but the confirmation email came in at 4:43am so its as if I place the order at 4:43. That is not right at all, all they have to do is compare the order numbers and order place time to see the correct order. I KNEW the delayed email was a big problem. The 10/13-10/22 range is the third in order of date ranges with 9/18-9/19 being first, then 10/2 - 10/13 being second and being third 10/13 - 10/22 (my initial range which was updated from 10/31-11/11) That's really not fair, I am not getting my phone day one.
 
Me thinks this is some crazy theory of yours and you throw in a story about an AT&T rep confirming it for you to somehow give it some validity. Relax, take off the tinfoil hat, and enjoy your new phone when it arrives.

They are updated automatically and were generated automatically. They're all very conservative estimates until you receive a tracking number.

No one knows that for sure until shipments start getting confirmed.

The whole thing is maddening. I may just go completely offline until the Plus arrives. Reading all these posts is driving me nuts.

Oh look KGWVU, 2 more people who are in the same situation as me with the same est, shipping time as me. One of them even had a supervisor basically tell them the story you implied I made up. I think you owe me an apology!

Not only did I see the sign I've been loyal to the same carrier this morning when I saw Verizon customers with the same phone I order with tracking numbers, showing an est delivery via fedex of 9/19... I saw I've been loyal to the wrong carrier again when I was nosing around T-Mobile's site... This weekend is JUMP loyalty weekend where all JUMP orders will be processed before anyone else's. Where's our Next loyalty reward, or reward for being a loyal AT&T customer? I can't even get my order processed fairly!

I have to agree. Plus the fact that the status shows as "preparing to ship". Why would it say that for an item that is 2,3,4 or more weeks out from shipping?

My gut tells me that everyone that has a date of 10/31 or earlier will be getting their phones on Friday.

Hope you are right. If memory serves me right, this happened with the iPhone 5 with ATT's pre order process. I remember them getting these things out on time. However, the iPhone 6 Plus seems to be in such a high demand I really don't know what to expect from them. Not sure that they know what they are doing. Nonetheless, I hope Tuesday will usher in more accurate information..
 
It's pretty simple. If you don't hear from AT&T by Thursday morning, simply cancel your order... Then, line up starting at 11 PM at any Best Buy, Apple, or Walmart until 8 AM opening.

After I ordered (about 3:10 central) it took 3 hours to get my confirmation e-mail. I ordered 3 other phones on upgrades at the same time. Each of those had a 9/17-9/18 shipment. Mine had a 9/23-10/2 shipment... I was ticked at first until I started reading the shafting other had received... I didn't feel so bad after that... Anyway, I checked my order status today and it has been updated and now says it will ship 3/17-3/18! There's still hope!
 
I have a question about the Premier.
Is it the same thing as I use the student discount?

I pre-ordered iPHone 6+ on AT&T website; however, I got an AT&T Premier page for the order confirmation after preordering...

The order ID that I got at the end of preordering is different from the order number on AT&T 'myOrder' page... The order statuses are diff, and they use my mom's name on billing and shipping addresses instead of mine..

So I have no idea what's going on.

I talked with AT&T representative, and she said she can't do anything for the Premier.

I mentioned to her that id the shipping date in november was correct that i may cancel the order. she put me on hold. when she came back she said ok, i canceled the order for you! :eek: im working with premier now to get the order reinstated and my place in line restored! I placed a 3-4 week delivery with att as well lol

the last rep i spoke with also said she only saw one charge, so i guess we will see when the smoke clears

here are my 6+'s my regular 6's are showing shipped have have tracking numbers.

Here are also my ATT premier order numbers. All my 6+'s are set for 10/02/2014. I ordered my 6+'s between 2:51-3:07AM EST. The numbers actually appear to be counting down. the later the order the higher the number. my

I love the whole congratulations thing, like you were just given an award. You bought a product from them that essentially ties you into giving them $2k over the next two years. They're not giving them away free or anything.

Don't you think if that were true, AT&T would just put the orders back in place? Come on...

Who knows if it is true, but for a company that does not know how to process credit card orders without triggering fraud alerts, I will believe about anything.

I too am in a similar situation. I place the order at 3:18 but did not get a confirm email until close to 5:00 AM. They were saying 9/27-10/2.

I just checked the order status page and now it shows as shipping 9/17-9/18 so looks like I am good to go for Launch day. No UPS MyChoice alert yet.
