Great news! I hadn't seen >100kbps uploads since the July 4th weekend until just now. 3.4bmps down, 1.525mbp up. The fix is definitely being rolled out.

hot dayum!! We're back!
edit: wrong one

I was around 34th and 42nd st today in NYC-- doesn't seem to be fixed there yet, but most of Queens has been fixed, as is Nassau, Long Island from what I've seen.

I can't wait for the next thread...

OMGWTFBBQ! My 2gb of data disappeared!

Edit:Oops. It was walking the city doing speed tests all day.

I just got off the phone with the Tech Support number listed earlier in this thread. The lady didn't seem to know much about what was going on, but she was very nice. She also opened an engineering trouble ticket for the Columbus Ohio area. So hopefully some engineer will get out here and find out stuff is messed up, and get the fix rolled out.

She told me the ticket has a resolution date of July 28th. I'll report back once I hear something. I'm not holding my breath though. Just doing my part to make AT&T more aware of the issue.

That's definitely the "healtiest" download speed I've ever seen on AT&T network! Good news for Seattle iPhone 4 users! :D

Indeed! The download and upload is several times quicker than the slowest comcast HSI package. The times...they are a'changin.

Renton, WA - July 23, 2010 (friday) - upload speeds still capped at < 95kbps!

I have not traveled to seattle, wa to confirm changes - will do so later today.

Hmm...where in Columbus are you? You're numbers are awful. I am near OSU campus, and ever since the "capping" occurred I get 1300-2500 down speeds (no more than 200 up). Before I was getting 4.5/1.6 easily. I did visit the Marion Village and German Village area earlier this month and had horrible data service, guess I'm lucky.

I just did the same thing. I am also in Columbus Ohio. Things got worse in the last 24 hours. The first two people I spoke with at AT&T didn't have a clue. The 3rd person was a breadth of fresh air. Got a case number too! Let's compare what we hear back.

Think mine is finally fixed! Just got a upload speed of 1600 Kbps. Best vie ever gotten by far.

OK this is just redonkulous! My upload speeds are crap less than 100kbs I called AT&T and they transfered me to Apple I don't think Apple is going to be able to do anything about this issue....WTF AT&T!!!!! I live in Las Vegas by the way. Anyone else in this area have any kind of an update?

Today things look a little better...

Today i did some tests here in Orem and the speeds seem to be a little better (although still very bad).

The upload speeds i got today varied between 15KB/s and 25KB/s...
It is a little better than the ones i've been getting over the last month (between 6 and 12KB/s but it is still way slower than it should.

By the way, it is interesting the upload speeds start below the 10s (around 5) and gradually start growing...which, for me, indicates a CAP...

ok wierd....

i posted yesterday that my speeds are back here on long island

however in my house with the microcell only getting about 1600kbps/50kbps WTF

As I mentionned couple of days ago, I returned my iPhone 4 and I just got one today. My speeds were really bad and this is what i got in my new phone. I don't know if they fixed the network or maybe it is the phone...(no signal loss to my surprise)

This morning my test in DC showed 711down/42 up. In Richmond at noon the values were 2295 down and 1267 up! Ridculous that AT&T hasn't gotten this fixed yet.

Went on a road trip this week. Speeds in Columbus, Ohio have been awful. Here is what I got at different locations:

7/23 Columbus, Ohio 273 down 27 up
7/24 Toledo, Ohio 1808 down, 1464 up
7/24 Southfield, MI 1825 down, 1610 up
7/24 Southfield, MI 3044 down, 1427 up
7/25 Columbus, Ohio 1005 down, 26 up

So it seems Columbus, Ohio is screwed.

Clueless beyond belief

Clueless

Harrisburg, PA still limited to 100kbps or less upload. I called three time in the last couple of days. Called Premier and Tech Support. No one at ATT has a clue about this issue we are experiencing.

How can I get a copy of the release from ATT to show these people. Because the release is not on their Press Release page it doesn't exist in ATT's eyes.

I am pulling my hair out  trying to get someone at ATT to listen.......

Tell them to check the "News" section of the AT&T Facebook page. Should be there.
