At&t changing phone uprade eligability for many iphone users

I'm currently elgible for an upgrade and have been since March, but how can you verify that you're the primary line on a family plan?

Just punch *639# into your iPhone and it will give you your upgrade date.

Star 639 Pound and then press the call button.

I can't figure out why I'm not eligible until November. My MRC is over $99 ($59.99 plan plus $30.00 for data plus $20.00 for unlimited texting). It's been that way since February too and that's over 3 months ago so I should be eligible according to the information that's floating around. It's the only line on the account too.

Thought I read that texting plan isn't counted against MRC.
 
I've noticed AT&T pushed mine back to 7/3/10...CSR informed me that it's based on more than just the amount you spend monthly it is also based on the amount of time left on your contract...in a nutshell I got my 3GS in July of '09 so I can upgrade in July of '10
 
I had a partial upgrade that i used june 27th last year. My line isnt the primary line so i am no where near the 100 dollars a month. Does anyone know if a partial upgrade (399/499) comes every year? i am more then willing to spend 400 dollars on this iphone much like last years.
 
guys i recently took texting off my plan. my phone is 85.27 a month cause of job discount. if i upgrade to 15$ texting with the discount its 99.75 a month. does it matter cause the discount is lowering it below 100 or should i upgrade to 20$ texting to put it over? also would this upgrade me?
 
I logged into my account after receiving the billing statement email.

I went ahead and checked for my upgrade status as a 3GS launch day owner.
"As a valued AT&T customer, this line qualifies for discounted equipment pricing when you sign a new 2-year commitment.

iPhone Upgrade
As a valued AT&T customer, we can offer you a discounted iPhone upgrade with a new 2-year commitment and an $18 upgrade fee." *

A few days ago my date was in November, but I tried just now and got the same txt as this person did, without a date. I got a 3GS on launch day.

Wonder what this means?

Mine changed since I checked it yesterday, now I can get the new iphone. I'm all excited now. I'm not the primary line on the account and don't spend close to 100 on my line so check your eligibility. :D

If you were not eligible for a full upgrade it would text you the date. Since there is no date = you are good to go!
