If you have a low MRC rate plan, you have to wait at least 12 months to be eligible for a reduced subsidy ( Early Upgrade ). Did you purchase last July?

This is peculiar. Dates are changing all over the board. AT&T realy wants us to get the new iPhone, haha.

Yeah i purchased it on the 27th, about a week or so after the 3gs came out. i think it was june tho?

That's the early upgrade price. Unless you checked your status and were told you get it, you don't.

Just checked and mine changed as well. I'm not even getting the message at the top that says that on XX/XX/XXXX i'll be upgrade eligible. I can see the full subsidized price of $299 for a new 32G 3GS. Originally my full subsidy date was 6/20/2010

I don't understand this, makes no sense financially. It's not like you save any money. In fact, you spend more in the end.

Today it says:

"As a valued AT&T customer, we can offer you a discounted iPhone upgrade with a new 2-year commitment and an $18 upgrade fee."

Yesterday it said something similar but also said additional discounts would be available in november

This is my original plan and I plan on doing this:

If I did get the early upgrade (no way I'm getting the full upgrade): 399+18=417

Open new line and cancel current (original plan): 199+120+26=345.
