Where are the exclamation marks showing up?

they show up when you attempt to send a picture message. the progress bar gets stuck at the end, sits there for a second, then you see the exclamation point next to what you were trying to send. see below.

when you click the red exclamation point, the option to resend comes up

in settings i originally had wireless.cingular.com:80 (didn't work). then i tried 66.209.11.32 since other people seemed to have success with it (didn't work either). I'm in Los Angeles and it seems as though other people around here are getting it to work. not sure why. i'm on 3.0, jailbroken, and on a mac.

also...
anyone else's custom carrier icon disappear after the update? mine disappeared. i went into /system/library/carrier bundles/ATT (and /system/library/carrier bundles/Unknown), replaced the carrier logos the same way i always do, but it's still reads ATT. also tried updating the following folders: 310150, 310170, 310180, 310380, 310410, 310980, 311180 and ATT_US.bundle. none of them worked. anyone know what's up?

Works for me and my gf's iPhone. Family Plan w/ unlimited texts.

Weird note: When trying to send a Video Message (yes, actual video) I couldn't have 3G and WiFi on at the same time. Turning off WiFi allowed me to send the message.

i followed directions exactly. i now have the camera icon. but it get to about 90% sent then stops. after a few i get the exlamation point :(

i officially have mms working...and pretty flawlessly at this point. the first night (sunday) i had it working, it was very intermittent. now it seems to be working well.
however, vvm is now broken, which was not supposed to be a side effect.
any thoughts?

here are my settings exactly....if i leave the username and password blank, it still works fine on 3g, but will not go on wifi

If i have the settings exactly as they are now, it works all the time, no matter what

Perfect instructions. I can send and receive MMS on my 3G. Smooth as can be. Must be up and running outside of Philadelphia too!

JRPVT.... Are you on a family plan?

Anyone that has MMS working, what is your phone plan? I think this is VERY crucial.

By the way, artsy mathematical distortions of an image can be undone by working with the inverse of the distortion.

If you want to hide something, cut it out and insert a solid block of color.

People are in jail because they thought that a swirl or blur would hide something....

Jatt...
What settings do you have for that Network config? Is your MMS Proxy: the 66.209.11.32? Or did yours have the :80 on the end? What plan are you on?

For those that don't have it working... are you at least able to get the camera icon on your Chat screen, in the lower left?

I am on the Individ, 900 Minute, Unlim Text

Ok guys I'm on individual unlimited minutes and unlimited text... After updating the carrier file, and rebooting the iphone, my mms wasn't working either that's because I forgot to enter the MMS settings... here are some pics...

My wife and I both have iPhones (Indianapolis, IN). It worked on mine and not hers. Mine is on a corporate account and hers is a personal (non family).

just FYI

updated settings on two iPhones in South Carolina and they are now working but not on Wifi. I know that some Windows Mobile phones that I've had in the past worked the same way... had to be on the cellular network and not Wifi to send MMS. I hope AT&T/Apple fixes this in the final release/launch!

on family plan with unlimited msg btw

Mine works here in Philadelphia. YAY! But someone remind me why I was looking forward to MMS? Now that I have it, its just ehhh.

It also works with Voice memos and videos. Although, when my friend on Verizon tried to send me a video from his blackberry, it never made it through to my iPhone. Curious,

Doesn't work with Wi-Fi turned on.

I did Krillr.com's "hack" however it doesn't work when Wi-Fi is turned on. To me (limited but some tech knowledge) that doesn't make any sense. Can anyone explain or tell me a fix?

I'm STUMPED.

Ok i need help, i've toiled for about an hour now. I used the instructions and carrier settings file provided by the instructions here: http://adam.midlane.net/iPhone/iPhoneMMS.pdf

Here's what my terminal looked like after I ran the command:
(does this look correct? idk, this is my first time using terminal)

Follow my guide...its based on Krillr.com's for the first half...but mine tells you what settings to change....once you change those settings in cellular data network, it works perfect on wifi or off
